I'm having an issue with motion tracking. Whenever I click Start Motion Tracking, my text immediately starts moving, and I can't figure out why.
I'm not sure what I changed, but even if I delete the motion tracking and add it again, the text still moves. The strange thing is that this only happens with this particular text—it doesn't happen with any of my other text objects.

The issue is caused by the position of the yellow tracking target box relative to your text before you start motion tracking.
Why the text moves automatically

The yellow tracking box vs. the text box: In CapCut for PC, the yellow box (with the pin icon) represents the area that CapCut tracks for motion in the background video.

Before you clicked Start Motion Tracking, your text ("hiring") was in one position, but the yellow tracking box was positioned higher up over a different area.

When tracking finishes, CapCut anchors the text relative to the center of the yellow tracking box. If that box is offset from the text's original position, the text will automatically jump to match the tracked position.
How to fix it

Reset the motion tracking. Remove or disable motion tracking for the text layer.

Position the yellow tracking box before starting.
- Enable Motion Tracking again.
- Do not click "Start" yet.
- Move and resize the yellow tracking box so it's centered over the object you want to track (or aligned with the text's intended position relative to that object).

Start tracking. Once the yellow tracking box is correctly positioned, click Start Motion Tracking. The text should remain in the correct position relative to the tracked object.
