As far as I'm aware, no—CapCut does not display the aspect ratio or pixel dimensions of a freeform crop after you've made it.

Here's how it works:

• If you choose a preset crop (e.g. 16:9, 1:1, 9:16), CapCut knows and displays that preset.

• If you choose Free crop, CapCut lets you drag the crop box arbitrarily, but it doesn't expose:

  • the resulting aspect ratio (e.g. 1.73:1),

  • the crop width × height in pixels,

  • or the crop coordinates.

Because of that, when you export, the video is still rendered into the project/canvas aspect ratio. If your free crop doesn't match the canvas, CapCut fills the unused space with black borders (or whatever background you've set). That's expected behavior rather than the crop changing the project's dimensions.

Workarounds

If your goal is to avoid padding, your options are:

• Crop using a fixed aspect ratio that matches your project from the start.

• Change the project/canvas aspect ratio first, then crop to fit.

• Measure the crop manually (for example, by taking a screenshot of the crop interface and measuring the crop rectangle in an image editor) to estimate the aspect ratio, then create a custom project with the same ratio.

• Use another editor that reports crop geometry (pixel dimensions and aspect ratio) if you need precise freeform crops.

Unfortunately, there isn't a hidden "Info" or "Properties" panel in CapCut that reveals the dimensions of the current free crop selection. That's a feature many users have requested in CapCut, but it isn't currently available.
