Hi everyone,

I'm pretty hopeless with CapCut and am looking for some advice.

At this point, I think it would be easier to hire someone to create one or two reusable CapCut templates for my business rather than spend the time learning how to make them myself.

The videos would be 30–60 second informational reels that mostly follow the same format. I'd just need templates where I can easily swap in my company's content each time. It seems like a fairly straightforward project—I just don't have the time to learn the software.

For those of you who've outsourced this kind of work, where did you find a reliable editor or freelancer for creating simple CapCut templates? Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

For a project like this, you are looking for a motion editor or short-form video editor, not necessarily a "CapCut expert."

Many editors can build the template in CapCut and hand you a project that's easy to reuse.

Here are the places I would recommend you should look:

  1. Upwork (my first recommendation)
    • Best if you want someone with verified reviews.
    • Search for:
      • "CapCut video editor"
      • "Short-form video editor"
      • "Reels editor"
      • "UGC video editor"
    • Expect to pay anywhere from $50–300+ per template, depending on complexity and whether they help design the visual style.
  2. Fiverr
    • Good for smaller one-off projects.
    • Look for sellers who specifically mention CapCut templates or Instagram Reels editing.
    • Be sure to review their portfolio to make sure the style matches what you want.
  3. Contra
    • A marketplace with many freelance creatives and no platform fees for freelancers, which can sometimes mean more competitive pricing.
  4. LinkedIn
    • Search for "Video Editor" or "Content Creator" and filter by your region if you want someone in a similar time zone.
    • You'll often find freelancers who don't advertise on the large marketplaces.
  5. Local Facebook groups or Reddit communities
    • Groups for video editors, social media managers, or local freelance creatives can be surprisingly good if you want someone you can build an ongoing relationship with.

To get the best results, provide:

  • 3–5 example reels you like.
  • Your brand colors, fonts, and logo.
  • A sample script.
  • A list of recurring elements (intro, lower thirds, captions, CTA, etc.).
  • Whether you'll be editing on desktop or mobile (important because CapCut projects aren't always interchangeable across platforms).

I would ask them to deliver:

  • A fully editable CapCut project.
  • All fonts and assets used (or links to them).
  • Placeholder text showing what to replace.
  • A 2-minute screen recording explaining how to update the template.
  • One round of revisions after you've tried using it yourself.

Since your reels are all 30–60 seconds and follow the same structure, I'd actually have them create 2–3 template variations (e.g., talking head, listicle, and FAQ) rather than just one.

That gives you enough variety to keep your content from feeling repetitive while still making each new video a quick edit.
