can't login on a different device

I am currently logged into my CapCut account on my MacBook Pro, where I have an active CapCut Pro subscription. However, I cannot find any way to log into this same account on my iMac. At this point I have tried any possible login way, wasted three hours of my time and probably unwillingly created a dozen different Capcut accounts.

Inside the app on my MacBook, I can only see my CapCut ID number and there is no information showing the login method (Apple ID, Google, TikTok, or email). Because of this, I am unable to access my paid Pro account on my second device. Please HELP!

Hi,

You are not doing anything wrong because it is how CapCut handles accounts behind the scenes.

Why you can’t log in on your iMac

CapCut doesn’t really use a simple “username + password” system.

Instead, your account is tied to how you originally signed up, such as:

  • Apple ID (via “Sign in with Apple”)
  • Google account
  • TikTok account
  • Email login (less common unless manually set)

On your MacBook, CapCut is already logged in so it doesn’t show which method you used, only your CapCut ID. That’s why you’re stuck guessing.

Step 1 — Identify your original login method

On your MacBook (where you ARE logged in):

  1. Open CapCut
  2. Go to:
    • Profile / Settings
  3. Look for clues like:
    • “Connected accounts”
    • TikTok icon
    • Apple / Google linking

If nothing is shown, try this:

Export or share something and it shows your account email in sharing dialogs.

Step 2 — Try the correct login method on iMac

On your iMac, you need to log in using the exact same method.

Try these one by one carefully (don’t rush):

1. Apple ID (most common on Mac)

  • Click “Continue with Apple”
  • IMPORTANT: Use the same Apple ID as your MacBook
  • If you used “Hide My Email,” CapCut may be tied to a random Apple relay email

2. Google login

  • Click “Continue with Google”
  • Try ALL Google accounts you might have used

3. TikTok login

  • Click “Continue with TikTok”
  • If you’ve ever linked CapCut to TikTok, this might be it

4. Email login

  • Try “Login with email”
  • Use:
    • Your main email
    • Any secondary emails
  • Then use “Forgot password” to test if the account exists

Step 3 — Stop creating new accounts

Every time you choose a different login method, CapCut creates a brand new account.

That’s why you now have multiple empty accounts with no Pro subscription.

Step 4 — Check Apple subscription

If you subscribed via Apple:

  1. On your MacBook:
    • System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  2. Look for CapCut Pro

If it’s there:

  • Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not CapCut login directly

That means:

  • You MUST log in using “Sign in with Apple” on iMac

Step 5 — Try restoring purchase

On your iMac inside CapCut:

This can reconnect your Pro plan if you’re on the correct account

If nothing works then as a last resort

Then your account is almost certainly tied to a hidden login (usually Apple relay email).

At that point:

Contact CapCut support with:

  • Your CapCut ID (from MacBook)
  • Proof of subscription (Apple receipt)
  • Explain you cannot identify login method

Support can tell you exactly which login provider your account uses.

The most likely fix (90% of cases):

You originally used “Sign in with Apple”, and you must use that exact option on your iMac.
