I have a Pro subscription on CapCut v.5.1.0

The Enhance Image feature has not been working correctly for a week (I have used it with success many times before). It applies up until 90% and then is blocked there. I have left it for hours to make sure it wasn't just a question of time. I tried it on several different video clips, and it still doesn't work. The other Pro features like Noise reduction seem to be working just fine.

Many thanks for your help,

Hi Emma. We understand that you are currently facing issue with the Enhance Image function of CapCut.

We recommend you to try out the below troubleshooting steps and let us know if it works out:

  • Restart CapCut: Close and reopen the app to resolve temporary glitches.
  • Restart Your Device: A fresh reboot can clear minor system errors.
  • Check Internet Connection: A stable connection is essential for cloud-based features.
  • Clear CapCut Cache: Clear the app cache and data to refresh its functionality.

CapCut-Specific Troubleshooting

  • Update CapCut: Ensure you're using the latest app version from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Re-login to Your Account: Logging out and back in can refresh your account status.
  • Create a New Project: Import your video into a new project to rule out file-specific issues.

Project-Specific Troubleshooting

  • Check Video File Size & Complexity: Large or complex files may overload the feature. Try using a shorter clip or reducing effects.
  • Disable Other Effects: If you're using multiple effects, try disabling them to see if "Enhance Image" works properly.

If the issue persists, reach out to CapCut support team at [email protected] with the following details:

  • A description of the problem (e.g., "Enhance Image" stops at 90%).
  • Troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
  • Your CapCut account email, device model, and operating system.
  • A screenshot or short video of the error message.
  • Visit CapCut's social media pages (Facebook, Twitter) or community forums for updates on ongoing issues.

If you are not sure about your editing skills, it is always better to check out tutorial videos online to ensure you are following the right steps. Do watch this below video tutorial on Enhance Image function of CapCut PRO

Hopefully, these steps help resolve your issue! If not, CapCut support can provide further assistance.

I am having the same issue. No other effects are enabled, no changes have been made, the clip is 38 seconds long. The HD and UHD enhancements move quickly up to 90%, then it stalls out. I've had this work on much larger segments in the past and it just recently (for me) started happening. I'm not sure why I'm paying for a service that doesn't perform...

Some users have seen stalled enhancement at ~30% (or 90%), and a forced logout/re-login gets it moving again.

1. Sign Out → Sign In Again

  • This refreshes your session/auth tokens.

  • It can reset the stalled state.

  • Try it again just before clicking Enhance, and let it run—sometimes it takes a minute after signing back in.

2. Clear App Cache or Reinstall

  • Android: Settings → Apps → CapCut → Storage → Clear Cache

  • iOS: Uninstall and reinstall the app

  • Then log back in and try again.

3. Switch Platforms

  • Try using the desktop or web version of CapCut for that clip:

    • Desktop: use the built-in Image Enhancement there (cloud-based)

    • Web: visit CapCut Online and use AI enhance feature

4. Test Connection & Project Size

  • Even though Noise Reduction works, the Enhance Image tool uploads larger data:

    • Switch between Wi‑Fi and mobile data

    • Try with a shorter clip (5‑10 s) to isolate file-size issues

5. Submit Feedback to CapCut Support

If nothing helps, report the issue directly:

  • Use Settings → Feedback inside the app

  • Or email [email protected] and include:

    • Account ID, device model/OS, CapCut version

    • A screenshot showing it stuck at 90%

    • Steps to reproduce with your 38 s clip
