Hi! I have purchased subscription with pro, I got 7days free trial + discount on yearly subscription. I got even the confirmation from Apple since I bought it this way. However, when i log in, on my account it still requires me to upgrade to Pro and the price for pro is now higher.

Hi,

You have paid for a CapCut Pro subscription through Apple and still not have the Pro features active in the app, especially with the price increase. This is a common issue that users encounter. Here's a breakdown of what's likely happening and what you can do:

Why this might be happening:

  • Synchronization Issue: The CapCut app on your device might not be syncing correctly with your Apple App Store purchase history.

  • Wrong Account Login: You might be logged into a different CapCut account (or a generic "AppleUser" account) within the app than the one associated with your Pro subscription.

  • App Glitch: There could be a temporary bug or glitch within the CapCut app itself.

  • Price Change: While you bought it at a discounted price, if the app isn't recognizing your existing subscription, it's prompting you to buy it again at the current, higher price. This is particularly frustrating.

What to do to resolve this:

  1. Check Apple Subscription Confirmation
    • Since you mentioned that you got the confirmation from Apple:
      • Go to your iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions
      • Make sure CapCut shows as "Active" with the correct Pro yearly plan
  2. "Restore Purchase" in CapCut:

    • Open the CapCut app.

    • Go to your profile (by tapping on an icon in the top corner, like a person or your profile picture).

    • Look for an option like "Restore Purchase" or "Manage Subscription." Tap on it. This tells CapCut to check with Apple for your active subscriptions.

    • Make sure you're logged into the same Apple ID you used to buy the subscription.
  3. Verify Apple Subscription:

    • Go to your iPhone/iPad Settings.

    • Tap on your Apple ID (your name at the top).

    • Tap on Subscriptions.

    • Find your CapCut subscription and ensure it shows as active. This confirms that Apple recognizes your purchase.

  4. Log Out and Log Back In:

    • Within the CapCut app, go to your profile.

    • Find the "Log out" option and log out of your CapCut account.

    • Then, log back in using the exact same method (e.g., Apple ID, Google, TikTok, email) that you used when you originally purchased the subscription. Sometimes, simply refreshing the login session can fix the issue. Pay attention if it tries to log you in as an "AppleUser XXXXX" and try to explicitly log in with the account you used for the purchase.

  5. Clear Cache / Reinstall CapCut:

    • CapCut has an option to clear the cache within the settings. If CapCut does, try that first.

    • If not, as a last resort, you can try deleting and reinstalling the CapCut app. Important: While CapCut generally saves projects to the cloud, it's always a good idea to back up any important projects before reinstalling, if possible.

  6. Check for App Updates:

    • Go to the App Store and see if there are any pending updates for CapCut. An outdated version might have bugs that are fixed in a newer release.

  7. Contact CapCut Support:

    • If none of the above steps work, you'll need to contact CapCut's customer support. They will investigate your account and subscription directly.

    • Support email: [email protected]

    • When you contact CapCut customer support, provide:

      • Your CapCut user ID (if you can find it).

      • The email address associated with your CapCut account.

      • Details of your Apple subscription (date of purchase, type of subscription, a screenshot of your Apple subscription confirmation).

      • A clear description of the problem (Pro features not active, being prompted to upgrade, higher price shown).

It is important that you maintain your receipt/confirmation from Apple as proof of your purchase.
