Hi,

It is completely understandable that you're frustrated. It can be really disappointing when an app you've come to rely on — especially one that used to offer a lot for free — starts locking essential features behind a paywall.

CapCut has indeed been shifting more features to the Pro version lately, which has upset a lot of users who enjoyed the free access to editing tools like audio, blending, and effects. You’re definitely not alone — many editors and creators are voicing similar concerns.

Here are a few things you can consider:

Possible Workarounds

  • Use CapCut on PC: Some features might still be available for free in the desktop version that are now locked on mobile.

  • Try Free Alternatives:

    • VN Video Editor (great UI, no watermark)

    • YouCut (good for quick edits)

    • DaVinci Resolve (free professional software, but more complex)

    • LightCut (by Insta360 — free and feature-rich)

  • Use Filmora Only for Final Touches: You can still do basic edits in CapCut, export the video, then do audio or blending in Filmora.

If you want to make your voice heard:

CapCut does collect user feedback. You can go to:

  • Settings > Help > Feedback inside the app and express your thoughts directly.

  • Also, leave a review on the App Store or Google Play — this is one of the few places developers actually monitor closely.
