Be very careful, one you install CatCup, it will not allow you to ininstall. It is somehow protected even for uninstall by external uninstall tools. It took me a while to clean the mass from my computer manually. Strongly not recommended!!!

Here’s a quick guide for uninstalling CapCut, depending on the device you are using:
On Windows (PC)

Start Menu Method

Click on the Start menu (Windows icon).

Type CapCut in the search bar.

Right-click CapCut → Select Uninstall.

This will open Apps & Features → Find CapCut → Click Uninstall.

Settings Method
-
Press Win + I to open Settings.
-
Go to Apps > Installed apps (or Apps & Features).
-
Scroll to CapCut, click the three dots (…), then choose Uninstall.

Confirm the uninstallation.

On macOS
-
Open Finder → Applications.
-
Find CapCut.app.
-
Drag it to the Trash, or right-click → Move to Trash.
-
Empty the Trash to completely remove it.
(Optional: You can also remove leftover files from ~/Library/Application Support/CapCut
and ~/Library/Caches/CapCut
if you want a clean uninstall.)
On iPhone (iOS)

Find the CapCut app on your Home Screen.

Tap and hold until a menu appears.

Select Remove App → Delete App → Confirm.
On Android

Open your device’s Settings.
-
Go to Apps (or Apps & Notifications).

Find CapCut and tap it.
-
Select Uninstall, then confirm.
Here are the extra steps to remove leftover files & cache after uninstalling CapCut so it’s completely gone from your system:
Windows (PC)
After uninstalling CapCut, some files may still remain.

Delete leftover program folders

Open File Explorer.

Go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming

Look for CapCut or Bytedance folders and delete them.
(Tip: Press Win + R, type

, hit Enter → that opens the Roaming folder.) -

Clear temporary files

Press Win + R, type

, and hit Enter. -
Select all files → Delete. (This removes junk, including possible CapCut temp files.)

Registry cleanup (optional, advanced)

Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
andHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

Delete any CapCut or Bytedance entries.
(Be careful—editing registry incorrectly can affect your system. You can skip this step if unsure.)

CapCut leaves behind cache and support files.

In Finder, click Go > Go to Folder… (or press
Cmd + Shift + G
). -
Check and delete these folders if they exist:

~/Library/Application Support/CapCut

~/Library/Preferences/com.bytedance.capcut.plist

~/Library/Logs/CapCut

Empty the Trash.
(Optional: Use a cleanup tool like AppCleaner to remove CapCut and its leftovers in one go.)
iPhone (iOS)
When you delete an app, iOS usually removes its data. But to ensure all cache is gone:

Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

Scroll and check if CapCut still appears.

If it does → Tap it → Delete App.

Restart your iPhone.
Android
CapCut cache/data can remain even after uninstall.

Before uninstalling (or if you reinstall):

Go to Settings > Apps > CapCut.

Tap Storage → Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Then uninstall.

Use a file manager to check for leftover folders in:
