Hi,

Don’t worry, this issue is quite common and often not your fault at all. Let us go step-by-step and get your CapCut working again.

Why you are seeing “This app may not work on your device”

That message usually appears because of one of these 5 reasons:

  1. CapCut version mismatch or compatibility issue – Sometimes the newest version on the Play Store or App Store hasn’t fully rolled out to your device model or region yet.

  2. Device architecture or OS version change – CapCut might require a higher Android/iOS version after a recent update.

  3. Temporary store cache or region bug – The Play Store/App Store might have cached the wrong compatibility info.

  4. App Store listing temporarily pulled for your region – This happens occasionally (especially after an update).

  5. CapCut Beta/Pro configuration issue – If you previously had CapCut Pro, reinstalling might confuse your account data.

Try These Fixes (Step-by-Step)

1. Clear the Store Cache

If you’re on Android:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Google Play Store

  2. Tap Storage → Clear Cache (and also “Clear Data” if needed)

  3. Restart your phone

  4. Open Play Store and search CapCut again

If you’re on iPhone:

  • Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → CapCut (if listed) → Delete App completely

  • Restart your device

  • Open the App Store and search again for CapCut (not from your “purchased” tab)

2. Install CapCut from the Official Source

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lemon.lvoverseas
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/capcut/id1500855883
Windows/Mac: https://www.capcut.com

Make sure you are not using a “Lite,” “Beta,” or modified APK version — only the official one.

3. If the store still says “Not Compatible”

Try one of these:

  • Use a direct APK (for Android only) from a trusted source like capeditcut.com.
→ Download an older version (for example, one from a week ago).
    → Install it manually.

  • Change App Store region temporarily to Singapore / US (CapCut is always available there).
→ Then install the app again.

4. Reconnect your account

If you previously had CapCut Pro or a logged-in account:

  1. Go to https://www.capcut.com on desktop.

  2. Try logging in there — if it works, your projects and Pro status are safe.

  3. Once you reinstall the app, log in using the same method (Google, TikTok, etc.)do not create a new account.

5. Wait for Store Propagation (if it’s a CapCut-side issue)

CapCut sometimes temporarily unlists or restricts devices when pushing a major update. In that case, it usually gets fixed within 24–48 hours.

If you tell us:

  • Your device model (e.g., Samsung A52, iPhone 12)

  • Operating system version (Android 13 / iOS 18, etc.)

  • Your region/country

…we can check exactly what version of CapCut is currently compatible and find you the correct download link or workaround for your model.
