Is it true that I can only use 10 text animations a month?? I have not used any pro features, but suddenly I cannot upload my videos from just the free stuff. I don't know what's going on. Is this a new update, or a glitch? I've been using CapCut for a year or so now, and if the text animations are being limited

Is it true that I am only allowed 10 text animations per month now? This seems new, and I was not aware of this. I used to edit all my youtube shorts on capcut and I used hundreds of little text animations, but if this is the case I'm going to have to switch. Any help will be appreciated.

There is no current information from CapCut that says CapCut now limits “10 text animations per month” as a built-in free-tier restriction.

  • CapCut has text animations that are part of the Pro/unlocked features in some contexts.

  • CapCut has been “putting more stuff behind paywalls” or making formerly free things part of Pro, e.g. “the mobile app does come in clutch … but now everything is behind a paywall.”

  • There is no mention in official CapCut documentation that they enforce a fixed number-of-animations cap like “10 text animations per month” for free users.

So it might be that either:

  • You have hit some unintended bug or glitch

  • A regional rollout or test is happening for your account

  • There’s a misunderstanding (for instance, a limit on certain premium animation styles, or only on certain devices)

  • The “text animations” you used before were ones that were temporarily free or part of a promotion, and those got locked now

What you can try / check

To figure out what’s going on, try these:

  1. Check whether the specific text animation you’re trying to use is marked “Pro / premium”
Sometimes only certain styles become paid. If so, you may have been using ones that were free before but now flagged as Pro.

  2. Use a different device or platform (mobile vs desktop / web) to see if the restriction persists
Maybe the limit is only in, say, Android version or for your region.

  3. Log out & log back in / reinstall / clear cache
If it’s a glitch or sync issue, this sometimes resets permissions.

  4. Check for CapCut updates / version differences
If the app auto-updated to a new version, that may have introduced new restrictions.

  5. Contact CapCut customer support
Support will be able to confirm whether this is a new policy or account-specific issue.

  6. Try exporting without some animations
Maybe you have too many overlays or a conflict of effects that’s interfering with export.

  7. Rollback to an earlier version
If you were using an older app version before this limitation, try reinstalling that. You can download the older version of CapCut.
