Hi,

Let us get this fixed as fast as possible since your deadlines are coming up.

You are saying:

  • You are using CapCut on PC (desktop version)

  • You normally log in using the QR code scan method from your mobile app

  • But now the “Scan QR code to log in” feature is missing in your CapCut mobile app, and you can’t use any linked accounts (Google, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

Let us go step-by-step to recover access:

Step 1: Verify your CapCut Mobile app version

The “Scan QR Code” feature is only available on certain builds.

  1. Open CapCut mobile → go to Settings → About.

  2. Check your version number (e.g., v15.x.x or similar).

  3. Then check the Play Store / App Store and see if an update is available.

    • If you are on iPhone, make sure you’re on the global version, not CapCut China (剪映).

  4. Update if possible, then relaunch the app see if the “Scan QR” option appears under Profile → Login / Sync CapCut to PC.

Step 2: Check if the QR option is temporarily removed

Recently in October 2025, CapCut has temporarily disabled QR login for many regions due to backend changes in account linking between TikTok / ByteDance accounts.

To confirm:

  • Open your CapCut mobile app → Me (Profile) tab.

  • If you only see “Log in with Email, TikTok, Google, Facebook, Apple” and no QR option, then this is a server-side removal not a bug in your device.

In that case, CapCut desktop will still show “Scan QR to log in”, but the phone can’t scan it causing the current lockout you’re facing.

Step 3: Possible workarounds

Until the QR login feature returns or is fixed:

Option 1: Use CapCut Web (Temporary Access)

Go to https://www.capcut.com/editor
→ Click Log in
→ Try logging in with your CapCut account email or TikTok.
Even if PC app login is stuck, the web version syncs your cloud projects.
This will let you access and continue editing online.

Option 2: Log in via TikTok / Email on PC (If linked before)

If your CapCut account was ever linked to:

  • TikTok

  • Google / Facebook / Apple ID
Try those again — sometimes the link reappears after restarting.

To test:

  1. Go to CapCut PC → Log in → Other methods.

  2. Try all your linked accounts (you might need to use “Forgot password” for the same email).

Option 3: Contact CapCut Support directly

You can reach out to CapCut customer support.

Here’s how:

  1. Write an email to [email protected]
  2. Attach a screenshot of the PC login screen showing the QR prompt.

You will usually get a reply within 24–48 hours.

Optional immediate fix if you have another phone

If you have another phone (Android or iPhone):

  1. Install CapCut fresh.

  2. Open the app and check if “Scan QR” appears on that device.

    • It sometimes still shows up on older versions (around v11.x.x).

  3. If it does, use that device to scan your PC QR and regain access.

If possible roll back your CapCut version to an earlier version when QR code was still working (such as v14.0.0). You can find the download links for older version.

Summary

Problem Cause Fix
QR login missing on mobile Server-side removal / update Wait for patch or use alternate login
Can’t access PC Locked to QR-only login Use CapCut Web temporarily
Deadlines approaching Need urgent access Use CapCut Web or reinstall older app build (if available)
