Hello everyone,

I purchased a CapCut subscription a few days ago from my desktop Mac, and created an account. Now I would like to sign up, using the same account, on my iOS devices (phone & tablet). Unfortunately I used my AppleID to sign up on my Mac and, if I attempt so sign up on my other devices, it does not log my in, but rather it offers to create a new account. I'm stuck as I cannot find account info anywhere in the desktop-based interface.

Attempting a password recovery using the main email address associated with my AppleID does not work as I get a "no account associated with this email address" message, more than likely because the OS generated a random email address to sign up (as AppleID does when you use it to sign up for software), and that is the one which CapCut actually has in its records.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

On macOS, when you signed up for CapCut with “Sign in with Apple”, you probably had the “Hide My Email” option enabled. In that case, Apple generates a random relay email (like [email protected]) and that’s the email tied to your CapCut account, not your main iCloud address. That’s why password recovery with your personal email fails.

Here’s how you can fix it and log in on your iPhone/iPad:

Step 1. Find the email CapCut actually has for you

  1. On your Mac, go to System Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security.

  2. Under Sign in with Apple, click Apps Using Apple ID.

  3. Find CapCut in the list.

  4. You’ll see whether you used your real email or a private relay email. Copy that exact email address.

Step 2. Use the same login on iPhone/iPad

  • Open CapCut on iOS.

  • On the login screen, choose “Continue with Apple”.

  • Make sure you pick the same option you used originally (with or without Hide My Email).

  • This will link you into the exact same CapCut account as on your Mac.

Important: If you choose “Sign in with Apple” but accidentally pick different email sharing settings (e.g., reveal vs. hide), CapCut will treat it as a brand new account. Always stay consistent.

If you want to avoid this problem in the future

  • You can go to appleid.apple.com, manage “Hide My Email”, and see/change which apps are using private relay emails.

  • Alternatively, you can bind your CapCut account to a phone number or social login (in CapCut settings > Account) so you’re not locked to Apple relay addresses.

On your Mac, if you go to CapCut > Account/Profile (top right corner), do you see any option to link email/phone? If yes, we recommend adding one immediately so you can always recover your login later without relying on Apple’s hidden email.

Here’s how to bind your CapCut account to a real email or phone (instead of relying only on Apple’s hidden relay email):

On Mac (CapCut Desktop)

  1. Open CapCut.

  2. In the top-right corner, click on your profile avatar / account icon.

  3. Go to Settings or Account Center (wording may differ by version).

  4. Look for options like:

    • Bind Email / Bind Phone

    • Account & SecurityEmail / Phone

From here:

  • Add your real email address (the one you normally use).

  • Or add your phone number (will require SMS verification).

This links your CapCut account permanently to something you control.

On iPhone/iPad (CapCut Mobile)

If you’re already logged in via Apple ID there:

  1. Tap Profile (bottom-right).

  2. Tap the menu (☰)Settings.

  3. Go to Account & Security.

  4. Tap Bind Email / Bind Phone.

Add your real email or number — same process as above.

Important Tips

  • Once bound, you’ll be able to log in with email/phone directly on any device, not just through Apple.

  • You’ll still keep your subscription and projects.

  • If you skip this, you’ll always have to rely on “Sign in with Apple” + relay email, which is risky if you ever lose access to your Apple ID.

Quick check for you:
When you open Profile → Settings → Account & Security on Mac, do you see the option to “Bind Email / Phone”? If yes, we can walk through the binding process steps for you.
