Hi,

CapCut's desktop application doesn't display the full email address you used to log in. For security reasons, it will only show a partial email (e.g., "e*****@gmail.com") or none at all once you're logged in.

To find out which email you used to log into CapCut Pro on your computer, try the following methods:

Method 1: Check CapCut Account Settings

  1. Open CapCut on your PC.

  2. Click on your profile icon (top right corner).

  3. Select "Settings" or "Account".

  4. Look for your email address or account info — it should be listed there.

  5. While it might not show the full email, it might display a partial version or indicate if you logged in via a linked account (like Google, TikTok, or Facebook).

Recall your login method:

  • Did you originally sign up for CapCut Pro using your Google account, TikTok account, Facebook account, or directly with an email and password?

  • If you used a social media account, try logging into CapCut on your new phone using that same social media account.

Method 2: Check CapCut Logs

  1. Go to this folder on your PC:

    C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\CapCut\User Data
  2. Look for a folder or file that might include login credentials or session data. Files like account.json or similar could contain the email (open with Notepad).

Method 3: Check Your Browsers (If You Used Web Login)

If you logged in via a browser (e.g., TikTok, Google, Facebook):

  • Check your browser’s saved passwords or login history.

  • Go to chrome://settings/passwords (for Chrome) and search for CapCut or ByteDance.

Method 4: Check Email Inbox

If you have multiple email accounts:

  • Search your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) for keywords like:

    CapCut
    ByteDance
    Your CapCut Pro subscription
    Welcome to CapCut
  • This might help identify which email received registration or payment confirmations.

Check your frequently used email addresses:

  • Think about which email addresses you commonly use for online accounts and subscriptions.

  • Check the inboxes of those emails for any CapCut-related communications, such as "Welcome to CapCut," "Pro subscription confirmation," or billing receipts. This would confirm the email you used.

Method 5: Check Your CapCut Pro Receipt

If you paid for CapCut Pro:

  • Check your receipts from Apple ID, Google Play, or CapCut’s official billing provider.

  • The email tied to the receipt is likely the one you used.

Method 6: Try to log in on your new phone with various emails

  • Go through your known email addresses and try logging into the CapCut app on your new phone with each one. If you've forgotten the password, use the "Forgot password" option to see if an email reset link is sent to that address.

Method 7: Use the QR code login (if you have the mobile app logged in on an old phone)

  • If you still have CapCut logged in on an old phone, you can use its QR code scanner to log in on your computer.

  • On your computer, go to the CapCut login screen and select the "Use QR" option.

  • On your old phone's CapCut app, go to your profile ("Me" or "My Account") and look for a "Scan" or QR code icon.

  • Scan the QR code on your computer screen with your old phone. This will log you in on your computer, and once logged in on the old phone, you should be able to see the full email address associated with your CapCut account in the profile settings.

If you’re still stuck, let us know if you:

  • Signed in with TikTok, Google, Facebook, or Apple.

  • Have access to your old phone or the email used for payment.

If none of these work and you're still unable to identify the email, you will need to contact CapCut support directly, providing with as much information as possible about your Pro subscription (e.g., payment method, date of purchase) to help CapCut locate your account.
