Issue started and hour ago. I've been trying to login to capcut desktop and it won't login my account.

I also tried the mobile version, but after logging in, it keeps bringing me back to the sign in page.

I'm using my email to login to capcut. Was my account hacked?

Hi,

It is challenging if CapCut keeps logging you out and yes, while account compromise is possible, there are several more likely causes. Let us walk through what might be happening and what you can check/do.

What to check first

  1. Server or login-service glitch
CapCut rely on remote servers, and if the authentication system is having issues or undergoing maintenance you may get repeated log-outs or login loops.

  2. Multiple devices / session conflict
If you have logged in on multiple devices (desktop + mobile), sometimes the app’s session logic might treat one login as invalidating another, causing you to be kicked out.

  3. Corrupted app cache/data or version mismatch
If the app’s local data is corrupted (especially on desktop) or the version is outdated, logging in may fail or cause loops.

  4. Network or region-related issues
An unstable connection, VPN, or region settings mismatch sometimes cause login failures. Also if you recently changed networks or travelled.

  5. Account security issue
While less likely, someone else may have accessed your account and triggered session invalidation (which logs you out). Or the app detected something unusual and reset session tokens.

Steps to investigate the account-hacked possibility

  • Check your email for security alerts: Did you receive any email from CapCut (or TikTok if you logged in via that) about a login from a new device/location?

  • Try logging in from a different device/network: If you still face the same behaviour, it leans more toward an app/session bug rather than just “someone else in my account”.

  • Attempt a password reset: If you can, reset your CapCut account password (or the linked login method – e.g., Google, Apple ID, TikTok) and then see if your login loop persists.

  • Check for unwanted changes: If you do get in, check your account details, connected devices/sessions if available, subscription status (if you use CapCut Pro), and any content you didn’t recognise.

Recommended fixes (you have already tried a few, but let us step through systematically)

  1. Log out fully from all devices (desktop + mobile). Then close the app, restart device.

  2. Clear cache/data (on mobile) or uninstall & reinstall the app (desktop/PC) to ensure fresh installation.

  3. Update the app: Make sure you have the latest version of CapCut on both mobile and desktop.

  4. Check your login method: If you used email earlier but maybe also linked a Google/Apple/TikTok login, attempt login via the same method. Sometimes mixing methods causes session recognition issues.

  5. Switch network: If you’re on WiFi, try mobile data (or vice‐versa). Sometimes network restrictions or region blocks interfere.

  6. Contact CapCut customer Support: If after all these steps you still cannot stay logged in and you are worried about account compromise — reach out to CapCut via [email protected]

Was your account hacked?

  • It’s possible, but less likely than a standard app/session bug.

  • If you didn’t receive any login alert from CapCut, your password/login method hasn’t been changed, and you weren’t using multiple devices or networks in a weird way — then it’s likely a bug rather than hack.

  • But treat it as potential security incident: change your password, use multi-factor, and monitor the account until you have stable login behaviour.
