Capcut Features not working unless I use VPN

CapCut has recently become restricted in Jordan, due to broader regional or national bans similar to the block placed on TikTok in Jordan since late 2022—and upheld by the 2023 Cybercrime Law which enabled internet platforms to be restricted.

Even if you previously accessed CapCut freely with your Pro subscription, the regional status have changed recently. You have been locked out of features unless accessing CapCut through a VPN connection to another country.

What you can do to fix this:

1. Use a VPN Strategically
   • Connect via a VPN server in a country where CapCut is permitted, such as Canada, UK, US, or Indonesia.
   • Recommended VPNs that reliably work: Surfshark, ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN, NordVPN.
   • Steps:
     • Close CapCut fully.
     • Turn on VPN and connect to a supported country.
     • Launch CapCut; log back in if needed.
     • Once fully inside the editing interface or projects, you may be able to turn off the VPN and continue offline edits (use airplane mode or disconnecting Wi-Fi to avoid tampering checks)

2. Try Different VPN Servers and Protocols:

   • Change Server Location: If you're already using a VPN, try connecting to different server locations, particularly those in countries where CapCut is known to work well (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey).

   • Experiment with Protocols: Most VPNs offer different connection protocols (e.g., OpenVPN, IKEv2, WireGuard). Try switching between them within your VPN app's settings. Some protocols are better at bypassing restrictions.

   • Consider a Paid VPN (if yours isn't already robust): If you're using a free VPN, they often have fewer servers and their IP addresses are more easily detected and blocked. A reputable paid VPN (like NordVPN or ExpressVPN, which are often recommended for bypassing CapCut blocks) will have more resources to constantly refresh their IP addresses and offer stronger obfuscation features. Since you've paid for CapCut Pro, investing in a reliable VPN might be necessary.

3. Clear CapCut's cache and data:

   • Android: Go to your device's Settings > Apps (or Applications) > CapCut > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.

   • iOS: Unfortunately, iOS doesn't have a direct "Clear Data" option for individual apps. You'd need to uninstall and reinstall CapCut.

6. Check Your Internet Connection:

   • While your VPN works, it's always good to rule out basic internet problems. Test your internet speed and stability. Try using CapCut on a different Wi-Fi network or mobile data to see if the issue persists.

   • As a Pro subscriber, you have access to the dedicated Customer support from CapCut.

     • You are in Jordan and can no longer access Pro features.

     • Mention feature failures and any network error messages.

     • Provide your CapCut version, device/OS, speed test data.

   • The support may provide clarity on the regional issue or offer direct assistance

What to be aware of

• Using a VPN may violate CapCut’s Terms of Service; there's a small risk to your account though most users report success without penalty.

• Jordan’s law also restricts “circumventing IP addresses using fictitious addresses… with intent to commit a crime,” which could pose legal risk if authorities enforce it broadly.

• Avoid modded APKs—they’re unreliable, prone to breaking, and trigger outright bans from CapCut’s servers

Your best bet will be a combination of a reliable VPN and troubleshooting the app itself.
