Hi,

Got it let’s fix that. When Body Effects in CapCut (like Neon Outline, Motion Blur, Body Glow, etc.) don’t work or fail to load, it’s usually due to one of a few common causes listed below depending on whether you are on PC (desktop), mobile (iPhone/Android), or web.

Please confirm your platform (CapCut PC, mobile, or web)?

For now, here is a complete guide for all three cases

If you are using CapCut on PC (Windows/Mac):

  1. Check if you are logged in

    • Body Effects require an active login not guest mode.

    • Go to Me → Account Info and ensure your account is signed in.

  2. Update CapCut

    • Old versions had a Body Effects bug (especially around v2.2–2.3).

    • Download the latest version directly from the official site:
      https://www.capcut.com

  3. Check GPU support

    • Body Effects depend on GPU rendering. If your graphics driver is outdated or disabled:

      • Update your GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel).

      • In CapCut:
Go to Settings → Performance → Rendering Mode, switch between GPU and CPU, then restart the app.

  4. Try shorter clips

    • Some effects fail if applied to clips over ~15 seconds or with no person detected.

    • Trim the clip or choose a part where your full body is visible.

  5. AI detection issue

    • Body Effects use AI to detect a person. If CapCut can’t detect one:

      • Ensure good lighting and a clear body outline.

      • Avoid extreme zoom or dark scenes.

  6. Clear cache

    • Go to Settings → Clear Cache and restart CapCut.

If you are using CapCut Mobile (Android or iPhone):

  1. Update your app from Play Store / App Store.

  2. Check permission for motion/AI effects:

    • Go to phone Settings → CapCut → Camera / Files access and enable them.

  3. Switch to another clip or restart project.

    • Sometimes Body Effects fail to load due to temporary AI model errors.

  4. Reinstall CapCut (don’t forget to back up your drafts).

  5. Make sure you are online.

    • Body Effects download the AI model from CapCut’s server — they won’t work offline.

If you are using CapCut Web:

Body Effects currently don’t work in the web version — they are only available on mobile and desktop apps.
You will need to download the desktop app to use them.

Test this quick fix:

Try this on a new project:

  1. Import a short clip with a clearly visible person (head to waist).

  2. Go to Effects → Body Effects → “Neon Outline”.

  3. Wait a few seconds — it should say “Detecting person…” then apply.

If it doesn’t:

  • Send us your CapCut version (found under Settings → About CapCut)

  • And confirm your device (Windows/Mac/iPhone/Android)

We will give you a specific fix or workaround for your case and also including a way to manually re-enable AI Body Detection in CapCut’s hidden settings.
