Hi,
CapCut's “AI Sounds” feature did indeed shift after the last update and it’s been hard to locate. While CapCut hasn’t officially documented this change, here’s what to do:
- Try fully updating the app again after downloading from official source. This can make the AI Voice section to reappear.
- Check Text‑to‑Speech → English category, and switch between sub-tabs like “Male,” “Female,” “Narration,” etc. The voices may still be there—it just takes browsing each sub-list.
- Voices are now tucked under subcategories. When you go on text‑to‑speech section, go to category where it says english and click on it and you will have different categories consisting of the missing ai voices.
Try reinstalling/updating CapCut
-
Try deleting and reinstalling CapCut to restore missing AI voice options. This triggers the missing feature to reappear.
What to do now?
-
Update or reinstall CapCut completely.
-
Open Text-to-Speech (AI voice) feature.
-
Select English, then cycle through subcategories—listen for your missing voice.
-
If you're still stuck, try creating a small test project: generate AI voice, save the draft, and check the project’s Resources folder on PC. One user was able to drag the audio files back into CapCut by navigating to their project path
-
Explore the "AI Lab" or "AI Tools" Sections:
-
Open CapCut and start a new project or open an existing one.
-
Look for a dedicated "AI Lab" or "AI Tools" tab or button at the bottom of the screen (on mobile) or in the top menu (on desktop). Many advanced AI features are now located there.
-
Within these sections, explore all the options related to audio, sound, or voice.
-
-
Check the "Audio" Tab:
-
Even if it's an AI-generated sound, it might be accessible from the main "Audio" tab within your project. Look for sub-categories like "Sound Effects," "Music," or anything new that might have been added.
-
CapCut is continually reshuffling AI features—adding new voices, rebranding sections, and moving options around. Unfortunately, they didn’t highlight the “AI Sounds” renaming or relocation internally.
