Hi,

There are no widespread reports of a known issue specifically affecting CapCut and PayPal payments, this error message is usually indicative of a problem with either your PayPal account, the CapCut app's payment processing, or a temporary glitch in the communication between the two.

If your PayPal payment keeps failing in the CapCut app with the error "Payment could not be processed," here are some likely causes and solutions:

  1. Check PayPal Account Status
    • Make sure your PayPal account is verified and in good standing.
    • Ensure there are sufficient funds or a linked backup payment method (e.g. bank account or credit card).
    • Log in to your PayPal account directly through the PayPal website or app to ensure you have sufficient balance or that the linked payment method is valid and has funds.
    • Check for any notifications or alerts from PayPal regarding account limitations or transaction issues.
    • Verify that your billing address and personal information on your PayPal account are up to date and match the information CapCut might be using.
  2. Match Country & Region Settings
    • CapCut and PayPal region settings must match (e.g., both set to the same country).
    • If you're using a VPN, try turning it off and retry the payment.
  3. Verify Payment Information in CapCut:
    • Within the CapCut app, navigate to the payment or subscription section and double-check that your PayPal account is linked correctly and that all details are accurate. You might try removing and re-adding PayPal as a payment method.
  4. Use a Different Payment Method
    • Try using a credit/debit card directly instead of PayPal, if available in your country.
    • Alternatively, try using Apple Pay or Google Pay depending on your device.
  5. Clear App Cache / Update App
    • Go to your phone settings and clear CapCut's cache/data.
    • Make sure both CapCut and the PayPal app (if installed) are fully updated.
  6. Try Again Later:
    • Sometimes, payment issues are temporary. Wait a few hours and try making the payment again.
  7. Try from Another Device or Browser
    • If you're using the CapCut mobile app, try completing the payment from the desktop version at https://www.capcut.com or vice versa.
  8. Disable VPN or Proxy:
    • If you are using a VPN or proxy server, disable it and try the payment again. These can sometimes interfere with payment processing.
  9. Contact Support
    • Contact CapCut Support via the app (Profile > Help Center > Contact Support).
    • Contact PayPal Support in case there’s a hold or issue on your account.

By systematically going through these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the cause of the "Payment could not be processed" error on CapCut with PayPal.

Hi,

The perpetual loading spinner often indicates a communication breakdown—due to mismatched account info, currency/region mismatch, outdated app data, or temporary server hiccups.

Here are some proven steps to help resolve the spinning/unresponsive issue when adding PayPal in CapCut:

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Verify PayPal Account Status

  • Ensure your PayPal account is fully verified, with a linked backup payment method and sufficient funds.

  • Log into PayPal separately to check for any holds, limitations, or alerts—these often block transactions.

2. Match Regional Settings

  • Confirm the country/region settings in CapCut match those in your PayPal account. VPNs or mismatched regions can interfere with payment processing.

3. Clear App Cache & Data

  • On Android: Settings → Apps → CapCut → Storage → Clear cache & data.

  • On iOS: Offload the app (to clear local data) and then reinstall.

  • After clearing, restart CapCut, re-login, and re-add PayPal .

4. Remove and Re-add PayPal

  • In CapCut, go to your profile → Payment/Subscription section.

  • Remove the PayPal method entirely and add it again fresh (without spinning loading stuck).

5. Switch Device or Platform

  • Try adding PayPal on a different device (e.g. if you're on mobile, switch to desktop at capcut.com, or vice versa).

6. Temporarily Disable VPN or Proxy

  • If you're using a VPN or proxy, disable it and retry—these can block communication between PayPal and CapCut.

7. Try Alternative Payment Method

  • If PayPal continues to spin, consider switching to a credit/debit card or mobile wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay.

8. Wait & Try Again Later

  • Temporary server-side issues can cause loading problems. Waiting a few hours and retrying may clear it up .

9. Reinstall CapCut Completely

  • Uninstall the app, restart your device, and reinstall the latest version from Play Store/App Store—this can resolve hidden glitches.

10. Contact Support

  • If none of the above work, reach out to CapCut Customer Support:
