Hi,

We are really sorry you are dealing with this — losing access to your CapCut Pro account can be annoying, especially with ongoing projects and a paid subscription.

Since you don't recall the email or password, direct account recovery can be tricky. Here's a breakdown of what you can try, focusing on contacting CapCut support and some alternative solutions:

Step 1: Try All Possible Logins

CapCut accounts can be created using:

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Apple ID (iOS)

  • Google account

  • Facebook
Try logging in with each of these one by one — especially your Apple ID or Google account if you're on an iPhone or Android.

Step 2: Use “Forgot Password” Option

  1. Go to the CapCut login screen.

  2. Click on "Forgot Password?"

  3. Try entering any email addresses you’ve used in the past.

  4. Check your inbox/spam folders for reset emails.

Step 3: Check Apple/Google Subscriptions

If you have CapCut Pro, you may still be able to find your subscription info:

  • iPhone (Apple ID):

    • Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions

    • Look for CapCut Pro — it may show the Apple ID used.

  • Android (Google Play):

    • Open Google Play Store > Profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions

    • Find CapCut Pro there — it may link to your Google account.

Step 4: Search for Receipts

  • Look in your email inbox (search for "CapCut" or "Bytedance").

  • Receipts often contain useful information that support can use to verify your identity.

If the above doesn't help then you can try the below methods:

1. Contact CapCut Customer Support:

This is your best bet for recovering your PRO account, especially since you're a paying customer.

  • Email: Send an email to CapCut support. [email protected] or [email protected].

    • What to include in your email:
      • Clearly state that you've been logged out and cannot access your PRO account.
      • Explain that you don't remember the associated email or password.
      • Provide proof of your PRO subscription. This is vital for them to verify your ownership. Look for:
        • Transaction IDs or order numbers from your purchase.
        • Screenshots of payment confirmations (from your bank, app store, or PayPal).
        • Your Apple ID or Google account info (if applicable — the one used for purchasing CapCut Pro).
        • The date of purchase and the amount paid.
        • The payment method used.
      • Any usernames or display names you remember using in the app.
      • The device(s) you typically use CapCut on (e.g., iPhone, Android, PC).
      • Be patient, as they receive many inquiries through out the day.
  • In-App Feedback (if you can access CapCut without login): CapCut has a "Report a problem" or "Feedback" option within the app itself, even before you log in. Look for a purple button or similar. This will lead you to a support form.

  • Social Media: Reach out to CapCut through the official social media accounts like Facebook (@CapCutapp), Instagram (@CapCutapp), or TikTok (@CapCut). Send them a direct message (DM) explaining your situation. While it might take a while, sometimes social media teams can escalate issues.

2. Check Potential Login Methods:

CapCut allows login through various platforms. Think back to how you might have originally set up the account:

  • TikTok account: Since ByteDance (the company behind TikTok) owns CapCut, many users link their TikTok accounts. Try logging in with your TikTok credentials.
  • Google/Gmail account: Did you use a Google account to sign up? Try logging in with any of your Google email addresses.
  • Facebook account: Similarly, consider if you used your Facebook account.
  • Phone Number: If you associated a phone number with the account, try using that for login or password recovery.

3. "Restore Purchase" Option (for PRO subscriptions):

If you're on a mobile device and your PRO subscription is managed through your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store), there's a "Restore Purchase" option within the CapCut app's PRO section. This attempts to verify your subscription through your app store account.

4. Browser Access:

If you've ever used CapCut on a desktop browser, try going to the CapCut website and attempting to log in. Your browser might have saved your login details.

Important Considerations:

  • Be patient: Account recovery without an email or password can take time, as support needs to thoroughly verify your ownership.
  • Provide as much detail as possible: The more information you can give CapCut support (payment details, previous usernames, device information, approximate sign-up date), the better your chances of recovery.
  • Local Projects: If your projects were saved locally on your device (and not solely to the CapCut cloud), you might still have access to them even if you can't log into your PRO account. However, you won't be able to use PRO features.

It's a tough situation, but focusing on providing strong proof of your PRO ownership to CapCut support is your best path forward.
