Please help! I am so confused! Myself and another colleague need access to CapCut Pro. If I puchase two-seat CapCut Teams subscription and add my colleague as the second seat, will we BOTH have access to CapCut Pro features? Or do we need to purchase CapCut Pro in ADDITION to CapCut Teams?! I hope this is not the case...the wording is sooo confusing.

Hi,

We totally get how confusing CapCut’s terminology can be no worries, we are here to help clarify things clearly:

Quick Answer:

  • If you buy a 2-seat CapCut Teams subscription and make your colleague the second seat, both of you get access to collaborative shared spaces, but you do not automatically get CapCut Pro features.

  • Each user who wants Pro-level functionality must hold their own CapCut Pro subscription—the Teams plan alone does not include Pro features for teammates.

What the Teams Plan does:

  • CapCut Teams provides collaboration tools like cloud Team Spaces, where members can invite others, share Drafts, transfer editing permissions, and collectively work on projects.

  • It offers free (and expandable) cloud storage and collaborative workflows—but does not unlock premium Pro features like advanced effects, AI tools, or extra templates.

What the CapCut Pro plan covers:

  • CapCut Pro is a personal premium tier providing advanced editing features: professional filters, transitions, AI-powered effects, expanded asset libraries, higher export quality, etc.

  • The Pro subscription is tied to individual accounts, so only that account has access to the premium features.

Basically collaboration works via Teams, but Pro features don’t extend to other team members without separate subscriptions.

“Currently, CapCut's Pro features do not automatically extend to team members within a shared workspace. Each member must have their own Pro subscription to access these features.” Reddit

Summary Table

Plan / Feature Teams (2-seats) CapCut Pro
Shared collaborative Spaces Yes No
Cloud storage + shared drafts Yes (Personal only)
Advanced Pro features (effects, AI, templates, export upgrades) No Yes
Shared Pro access across team No Only for that account
Individual Pro needed per user No Yes

If you and your colleague both need Pro-level editing, you’ll each need your own CapCut Pro subscription in addition to the Teams plan. The Teams plan supports collaboration, but does not grant Pro features to teammates.

Here is the cost-efficient breakdown depending on your situation:

Scenario 1: Both of you need full Pro features

  • Each of you must subscribe to CapCut Pro (individually).

  • Teams is optional — you can still collaborate using free cloud project sharing.

  • Cheapest setup:

    • 2 × CapCut Pro subscriptions

    • Use free Team Space if you just want to share/export projects.

Scenario 2: Only one of you needs Pro features

  • Example: You (main editor) need advanced filters, effects, AI tools, etc.

  • Your colleague just needs to review, trim, or add simple edits.

  • In this case, only you need CapCut Pro, and you can add your colleague to a free or paid Team Space for collaboration.

  • Cheapest setup:

    • 1 × CapCut Pro subscription (yours)

    • Free CapCut Teams for project sharing.

Scenario 3: You both need Pro features + heavy collaboration

  • This is where CapCut Teams (paid) makes sense:

    • Centralized cloud storage

    • Assigning roles & permissions

    • Smooth transfer of editing rights

  • But remember: Teams does not replace Pro. Each seat still needs a Pro subscription.

  • Cheapest setup:

    • 2 × CapCut Pro

    • 1 × CapCut Teams (2-seat plan).

Recommendation:

If budget is a concern, start with 2 individual Pro accounts (skip Teams). You’ll still be able to share projects manually or via free Team Space. Only add Teams later if you really need advanced collaboration tools (like shared libraries and role management).

Why does the app say this then?

What you are seeing in the app is CapCut Teams (Pro version). There are actually two types of “Teams”:

  1. Free Teams which is used just for collaboration (no Pro features included).

  2. Teams with Pro membership this is a bundled plan where every seat in the Team also gets CapCut Pro.

That’s why your screenshot says:

“Pro membership for all seats – Get full access to Pro features for every space member.”

So:

  • If you purchase a 2-seat CapCut Teams subscription (Pro version) both you and your colleague will get Pro features included, no need to buy Pro separately.

  • If you only create a free Team Space" you would both need your own individual Pro subscriptions.

The plan you saw in CapCut app is indeed the Pro-enabled Teams plan, which means all members get Pro automatically. You and your colleague will both have full Pro access under one Teams subscription.

See the steps below so that you don’t get stuck with just the free Teams space:

How to Subscribe to CapCut Teams (with Pro for all seats)

1. Open the subscription page

  • On desktop or mobile CapCut, go to “Subscription Service” or “Upgrade”.

  • Look for CapCut Teams, not just “Pro.”

2. Ensure the correct labeling

  • The correct plan will explicitly say:
“Pro membership for all seats” or “Full access to Pro for every member.”

  • If you only see “create a Team space” without that line that’s the free Teams version (collaboration only).

3. Choose the number of seats

  • Pick 2 seats (one for you, one for your colleague).

  • Each seat under this plan is automatically upgraded to Pro.

4. Confirm before purchase

  • On the checkout screen, double-check that the wording still says:
    CapCut Teams (Pro included)
Not just “CapCut Pro” (that’s individual)
    Not just “CapCut Teams (Free)”

5. Assign seats

  • After purchase, you will have an Admin dashboard.

  • You can add your colleague by entering their CapCut account email.

  • Once added, they will immediately see Pro features unlocked in their account.

6. Verify access

  • On both accounts, go to Settings → Subscription.

  • It should say CapCut Teams Pro (not just CapCut Pro).

  • Both of you will now have identical Pro privileges.

If you only need collaboration + Pro for one person, buying just Pro + free Teams is cheaper. But if you both need Pro, this Teams bundle is actually the simplest and most cost-effective option.

If you want, you may confirm this understanding with the official CapCut support team before proceeding.

@admin Fantastic! Thank you so much! We will definitely be going for the Teams (Pro) option. P.S. I do recommend looking into changing the wording across Capcut, as it is quite confusing atm.

Hi, have you bought the teams pro?
I got confused also with the wording around this.
Would you guys both be able to use pro now in the teams subscription?

Thanks,
Al

I am still very confused on how to make this work. Here is my situation:

1) I purchased a pro subscription

2) Then made a space and shared a video with my colleague

3) Realized she needed a pro as well and I upgraded to Teams with 2 seats

4) She can still not use pro features. Why?

Is it because we created the space before Teams?

Why does it in some places say that I have pro and in others that I have Teams

Please advice

Hi,

You originally bought CapCut Pro (individual license)
That’s why you still see “Pro” under your account profile (screenshot 3). This Pro license is tied only to your account.

Then you upgraded to Teams (2 seats)
Your Teams subscription is active (screenshot 1 and 2 show Teams monthly, 2 seats).
This is the correct Teams plan that should include Pro for each seat.

Why your colleague doesn’t see Pro features yet
Buying the 2-seat Teams plan doesn’t automatically “activate” Pro for other people.
You have to assign the second seat to your colleague’s CapCut account from the Teams management panel.
Until you do that, only you (the owner/admin) have Pro, and your colleague is still on free CapCut.

How to fix it and give your colleague Pro access:

  1. Go to CapCut → Subscription → Teams → Manage.

  2. Find the option like “Members” / “Manage seats” / “Invite members”.

  3. Enter your colleague’s CapCut account email (the same one they log in with).

  4. They’ll get an invite to join your Team.

  5. Once they accept → their account will upgrade to Pro (via Teams).

Why do you see both Pro and Teams?

  • You currently hold two subscriptions:

    • Your old individual Pro license

    • The new Teams 2-seat license

  • CapCut’s UI shows both, which makes it look messy.

  • Once your colleague is added, you could consider cancelling your individual Pro to avoid paying twice, since your Teams plan already gives you Pro.

Answering your direct questions:

  • Is it because we created the space before Teams?
No — the issue isn’t the space. It’s that your colleague’s seat hasn’t been assigned yet.

  • Why does it show both Pro and Teams?
Because you purchased both separately. Teams doesn’t automatically replace your old Pro plan.

What you can do:

  1. Go into Teams settings → assign your colleague the second seat.

  2. Verify on her account under Settings → Subscription that it says CapCut Teams Pro.

  3. After confirming it works, cancel your old individual Pro to avoid double billing.

How to add your colleague to your CapCut teams subscription

1. Open CapCut Desktop App

  • Log in with the account that purchased the Teams subscription.

  • Go to the top-right corner → click your profile icon.

2. Go to Subscription / Management

  • Click Settings → Subscription Service (sometimes called “Management” in the window).

  • You should see your Teams plan (2 seats) listed.

3. Find the Team Space

  • Under “Teams” you’ll see something like:

    • Your Team Name / [Your Name]’s space

    • It will show “Seats: 2”

  • Click Manage or Settings for that Team.

4. Add a member to use the second seat

  • Look for Members / Manage Seats / Invite Members.

  • Enter your colleague’s CapCut account email (the same one they log into CapCut with).

  • Send the invite.

5. Your colleague accepts the invite

  • They’ll see an email or an in-app notification.

  • Once they accept, their account will upgrade to Pro via Teams.

6. Verify it worked

  • On your colleague’s computer/phone: go to
    Profile → Settings → Subscription

  • It should now say: CapCut Teams Pro (expires on …)

7. Cancel your old individual Pro

  • Since your Teams plan gives you Pro already, you don’t need the separate personal Pro subscription anymore.

  • To avoid double billing, cancel the standalone Pro in the App Store / Google Play / CapCut desktop billing page, depending on where you first purchased it.

After this, both of you will have identical Pro access under Teams — all premium features, cloud space, and collaboration tools.

I have purchased this but now my team member is unable to join?! The invite via email button is grayed out completely through the browser, and when I give them the link instead, they get this error. Their CapCut is up to date, etc. This is definitely an issue on CapCut's end. Can we pleased get this fixed? This has been such a frustrating experience.

Hi,

You have set up the CapCut Teams plan with 2 seats, but the invite/join process is broken. This is a known issue that happens with CapCut Teams, especially when:

  • The invite button is grayed out in the browser

  • The invite link returns “Can’t submit request / Couldn’t join space”

This isn’t you doing something wrong it’s a quirk (bug) on CapCut’s side. But there are a few reliable workarounds you can try to get your colleague in:

Fixes / Workarounds

1. Add the member from the desktop app and not the browser

  • Open CapCut Desktop (Mac/PC).

  • Go to Profile → Teams → Manage → Members.

  • Try inviting them from there as the desktop app lets you send the invite properly, while the web dashboard bugs out.

2. Make sure they are logged in with the right account

  • Your colleague must log into CapCut with the same email you invite.

  • If they used Apple/Google login earlier but you invited their plain email (or vice versa), CapCut won’t link them properly.

  • Confirm the exact login email under Settings → Account Info on their device.

3. Try sending an Invite Code

Teams workspaces allow you to generate an invite code instead of a link.

  • Check under Teams → Manage → Invite Members.

  • If the link fails, the code can be entered directly inside the app under Join Space.

4. Switch their region temporarily using VPN workaround

CapCut’s servers sometimes block team joining requests by region.

  • If your colleague is in a different country (or sometimes even the same), try a VPN to set their location to yours.

  • Then click the invite link again.

5. Contact CapCut customer support

If none of the above works, it’s almost certainly a server-side issue.

  • In the app: Settings → Help → Feedback.

  • Attach the error screenshot.

  • Mention you are on Teams Pro (2 seats) and the invite button/link fails.

What to do next?

Since you are seeing both Pro and Teams active on your account, we recommend:

  1. Open the desktop CapCut app (not browser).

  2. Go to your Team space → Members → Add.

  3. Use your colleague’s exact login email.

  4. Have them check in CapCut desktopSpaces → Invitations.

Halo Capcut

i Want to ask about subscribe Capcut Teams.

I plan to subscribe to CapCut Teams for 5 seats. Then there's the text "Create as a team with pro for all." Does this mean that all users or the 5 seats already include and can use various pro features? So, do I no longer need to subscribe to Capcut Pro again? Or how does it work? Please explain.

If you subscribe to CapCut Teams (with “Pro for all”)

That means exactly what it says —

Every seat you buy (in your case, 5 seats) automatically includes CapCut Pro features.

So:

  • Each of the 5 users you add will have full Pro access (same as if they each individually paid for CapCut Pro).

  • You do not need to purchase separate CapCut Pro subscriptions.

  • The Teams plan already bundles Pro for every member.

In practice

Here’s how it works:

Feature CapCut Pro (individual) CapCut Teams (Pro for all)
Pro tools (AI effects, advanced filters, premium assets) ✅ (for all seats)
Cloud collaboration
Number of users 1 5 (you choose how many)
Admin billing Per user Centralized, one payment
Need to buy both Pro + Teams? ❌ No ❌ No — Teams includes Pro

How setup works

  1. You (as admin) purchase CapCut Teams with 5 seats.

  2. Go to Teams → Manage Members and invite 4 other people (emails).

  3. Each invited person, once they join, will have:

    • Access to Pro features

    • Access to shared cloud workspace for collaboration.

Important note

CapCut also offers a free “Teams” option (just collaboration, no Pro).
But the one you are describing with “Create as a team with Pro for all” is the paid Teams Pro plan, so all seats are Pro-enabled.

  • You only need to pay for CapCut Teams (5 seats).
  • You do not need separate CapCut Pro subscriptions.
  • All 5 members get Pro features automatically.
  • You can manage everything (billing, invites, storage) from one admin dashboard.

Below is a complete step-by-step walkthrough to make sure your CapCut Teams (5-seat) subscription gives everyone Pro access smoothly and without the common setup bugs.

Step-by-Step: How to set up CapCut Teams with Pro for all

Step 1: Purchase the Teams Plan

  1. Open CapCut (Desktop or Web) → click your profile icon → Subscription Service.

  2. Choose Teams → “Create as a team with Pro for all.”

  3. Select 5 seats and complete payment.

  4. After purchase, you’ll see confirmation under:

Settings → Subscription → Teams (shows seats, renewal date, and payment method)

Step 2: Access your team dashboard

  1. Still in CapCut → Subscription → Teams, click Manage or Billing / Members.

  2. You’ll now see your Team Space (something like YourName’s Team).

  3. Check that it says “5 seats” and “Pro membership for all seats”.

Step 3: Invite your Team Members

  1. Click Manage Members / Invite Members.

  2. Enter the email address your teammates use to log into CapCut.
Important: they must use the same login method (email, Google, or Apple ID) you invite.

  3. Click Send Invite.

Step 4: Teammates Accept the Invite

Each invited person will receive either:

  • An email invite (from CapCut)

  • Or an in-app notification (if they’re logged in)

They just need to click “Join Team” or “Accept Invite.”
If they get a “Can’t submit request” error — have them:

  • Open CapCut Desktop App, not browser.

  • Go to Spaces → Invitations → Accept.

Step 5: Verify their Pro access

Once accepted, each member should check:

  • Go to Settings → Subscription

  • It should now show CapCut Teams Pro (with your renewal date)
That confirms their seat is active and they have full Pro privileges.

Step 6: Manage seats later

If someone leaves or you want to reassign:

  1. Go to Manage → Members

  2. Click Remove next to that person.

  3. Add a new person to use the freed seat — they’ll instantly get Pro access.

Quick Troubleshooting Tips

Problem Fix
Invite button is gray / link fails Try from CapCut Desktop, not browser.
Invitee doesn’t get Pro Make sure they accepted the invite and are logged into the same account you invited.
Shows both “Pro” and “Teams” under your account You probably had a personal Pro subscription earlier. You can cancel it — Teams covers it.
Invite fails with “Can’t submit request” Re-send the invite via the desktop app, or contact CapCut Support → Help → Feedback.

Summary

  • 1 Teams plan = 5 seats with full Pro access.

  • Invite each teammate → they accept → instant Pro unlock.

  • No need for separate CapCut Pro subscriptions.

  • Manage everything from your Teams dashboard (Members, Billing, Storage).

The above is based on the current data available. However, we strongly recommend to check this understanding once again with CapCut customer support team before proceeding.

Dear CapCut Support Team,

I am experiencing a serious issue with my CapCut Teams Pro account. I am using the same subscription on two different MacBooks, but I am repeatedly being signed out (maximun number of attempts reached. Try again later) and then unable to log in again for an entire day.

I also received earlier today a message stating that my account has been temporarily suspended due to “suspicious activities.” Please clarify why this is happening and whether I am doing anything wrong that could be causing the suspension.

I subscribed to the CapCut Teams Pro 2-Seats Plan specifically because I work on two devices (one MacBook at home and another when traveling or working remotely). My understanding is that CapCut Teams allows usage on multiple devices - please confirm if this is correct.

In the meantime, I have sent three emails to customer service and chatted twice with support agents, but I have unfortunately received no response. I genuinely like CapCut, which is why I decided to pay USD 214.99 for the Teams Pro plan. However, the repeated account blocks are now extremely frustrating.

This issue is affecting my business operations, as I rely on CapCut daily for marketing and client projects. I need stable, uninterrupted access to the service I am paying for.

Please resolve this suspension and provide a permanent fix so I no longer get locked out or forced to wait 24 hours.

Thank you in advance for your immediate support.

Best regards,
Michele

@in-side

We are really sorry you are dealing with this problem on CapCut especially when you have paid for a Teams Pro (2-seats) plan and depend on CapCut for daily business work. Based on our experience with CapCut app we will help you as much as possible below.

What is happening and why

You are mentioning the issue of forced sign-outs, “maximum number of attempts reached,” and a temporary suspension for “suspicious activity” this is almost certainly an automated security trigger from the CapCut side, not something you intentionally did wrong.

The most common causes in your situation

  1. Rapid switching between devices

    • Logging in and out frequently on two MacBooks (especially within short time windows) can trigger CapCut’s fraud-prevention system.

    • Even with Teams plans, CapCut backend monitors login velocity (how fast and how often sessions change).

  2. IP address changes

    • Traveling, remote work, VPNs, hotel Wi-Fi, or mobile hotspots = frequent IP changes.

    • Multiple IPs + multiple devices means high likelihood of being flagged as account sharing or compromised access.

  3. Failed or repeated login attempts

    • When CapCut auto-logs you out, trying to log back in multiple times can trigger: “Maximum number of attempts reached. Try again later” problem

    • This is a hard cooldown, usually 12–24 hours, enforced server-side.

  4. Teams seat ≠ unlimited simultaneous logins

    • This is the key misunderstanding and unfortunately CapCut documentation has not explained this well.

Important clarification regarding Teams Pro (2-Seats)

Yes, CapCut Teams does allow multiple users/devices
But seats are intended for different users, not one user constantly hopping devices

How CapCut interprets “2 seats”

  • Each seat is expected to be:

    • A separate CapCut account

    • With a relatively stable device/IP pattern

  • One person using the same login aggressively across devices looks suspicious to CapCut security system.

This is why:

  • You are getting temporary suspensions

  • You are seeing login lockouts lasting an entire day

From a security standpoint, CapCut system can’t reliably distinguish:

“A legitimate user with two laptops” from “One account being shared or hijacked”

Are you doing anything wrong?

No — not intentionally.
But from CapCut’s automated security perspective, your usage pattern looks risky, even though your subscription choice was reasonable.

This is a policy + UX failure on CapCut’s side, not user misconduct.

Why support hasn’t responded yet

Unfortunately:

  • Teams Pro tickets go into a queue-based system which can be long and tedious

  • Suspensions triggered by automation frequently require manual review

  • First-line agents cannot override security flags

That explains:

  • No email replies yet

  • Chat agents giving non-answers or stalling

It can be frustrating, but it is consistent with how CapCut handles account-risk cases.

What you should do right now?

Stop trying to log in for at least 24 hours

Continuing attempts resets the cooldown timer and worsens the flag.

Use one device only temporarily

Once access is restored:

  • Log in on one MacBook

  • Do not log in on the second device for at least 48 hours

This helps the risk score cool down.

Create a second user for the second seat (this is the recommended fix)

This is the cleanest long-term solution.

  • Invite a second email address to your Teams workspace

  • Use:

    • Account A → MacBook #1

    • Account B → MacBook #2

  • Same team, same projects, zero security flags

Even if you are the only person, this aligns with how their system expects seats to be used.

Avoid VPNs when using CapCut

If you are using:

  • NordVPN

  • iCloud Private Relay

  • Corporate VPNs

then turn them off while working in CapCut.

Our recommendation - Check with support once on the below things

  1. Whether using two devices under one Teams subscription is allowed

  2. Why my account is being flagged despite having a 2-seat plan

  3. How to prevent future suspensions

  4. This issue is impacting my business operations and requires urgent resolution

You can email support - [email protected]

Our take on this issue:

  • CapCut’s security system is over-aggressive

  • Using one login across two devices is the root trigger

  • Using two seats as two accounts should permanently solve this

If you need further support on this issue we can help you with the below:

  • Set up the second seat correctly

  • Suggest backup workflows so your business isn’t blocked again
