I can not find the scan option in Capcut mobile to scan QR to sign in the Capcut on my Mac. What should I do now? I try to find anywhere in Me section. My app is 15.2.1
Hi,
The QR scan login option in the CapCut mobile app has recently been removed (starting with the September–October 2025 updates) on both iOS and Android. This is why you can’t find the “Scan” option in the Me tab anymore.
Why the “Scan” option disappeared
CapCut is phasing out QR-based login to unify accounts across ByteDance services (TikTok, CapCut Web, Teams).
Now, CapCut is forcing users to log in with email or linked accounts (TikTok / Google / Apple / Facebook) instead of scanning a QR code.
That’s why:
-
The “Scan” button under Me → Settings or Profile → ≡ → Scan is gone.
-
The desktop login screen on Mac/PC still shows the QR option (but it no longer works unless you have an older mobile app version).
Fix / Workarounds to try:
Option 1: Log in using the same linked account
If your CapCut account was linked to TikTok, Google, Facebook, or Apple:
-
Open CapCut on your Mac.
-
Choose “Log in with TikTok / Google / Facebook / Apple” instead of “Scan QR”.
-
Use the same account you used on mobile.
→ This will sync your projects, templates, Pro plan, and cloud library automatically. -
If you normally use the Teams/Pro account, make sure you log in with the same email or provider that’s linked to your paid plan.
Option 2: Use Email or Phone login
If you registered your CapCut account with an email:
-
On CapCut desktop, click Log in with Email or Phone.
-
Enter your email and password.
-
If you get the “This email isn’t registered yet” error, try:
-
Logging in on mobile with that email to confirm it’s active.
-
Then retry the same method on Mac.
-
Option 3: Temporary workaround if you still want QR login
If you really need QR login:
-
You can install an older version of CapCut mobile (before version 12.3.0, around August 2025). Do not worry we host all trusted and verified download links.
Then the Scan feature will reappear. -
Sign in via QR, then update back to the latest version.
-
Be careful when downloading APKs and only use verified sources, and back up your CapCut projects first.
Option 4: Contact CapCut Support if you can’t log in at all
If none of the login methods recognize your email, you may have a “Teams” or “Cloud” account that isn’t linked properly.
Write an email to [email protected]
or open CapCut → Me → Settings → Help → Feedback on your phone.
Explain:
"I cannot log in to my CapCut desktop account because the Scan QR option is missing from mobile.”
CapCut support can manually link your account or reset the login method.
Below is a step-by-step guide so you can log in to CapCut on Mac without the missing “Scan QR” feature.
PART 1: On Your Mac — Open the Login Screen
-
Launch CapCut Desktop (Mac).
-
On the home screen, click “Log in” at the top-right corner.
-
You will now see several options:
-
Continue with TikTok
-
Continue with Google
-
Continue with Facebook
-
Continue with Apple
-
Email / Phone
(You may still see “Scan QR” — ignore it, since mobile no longer supports it.)
-
PART 2: On Your Phone — Check How you are logged in
Now we will find out what account your CapCut mobile app is actually using.
-
Open the CapCut app on your phone.
-
Tap “Me” (bottom-right corner).
-
At the top of the screen, you’ll see your profile name and avatar. Tap it once.
-
Tap “Manage Account” or “Account Info”.
You will now see something like:
-
“Signed in with TikTok”
-
“Signed in with Google: [email protected]”
-
“Signed in with Apple ID”
-
“Signed in with Facebook”
-
Or possibly “Email: yourname@...”
Note which method is used — you’ll need the same one on Mac.
PART 3: Log In Using the Same Method on Mac
Now return to CapCut Desktop (Mac).
If you use TikTok:
-
Click “Continue with TikTok” on Mac.
-
A browser window opens → Log in with your TikTok credentials.
-
CapCut will link your TikTok account and automatically sign you in.
If you use Google:
-
Click “Continue with Google”.
-
Choose the same Gmail account as shown in your mobile CapCut.
-
After sign-in, you’ll see your projects and CapCut Pro features sync.
If you use Facebook:
-
Click “Continue with Facebook.”
-
Log in with your Facebook credentials → Authorize CapCut.
-
Done.
If you use Apple:
-
Click “Continue with Apple.”
-
Use your Apple ID (and Face ID or password to confirm).
-
Once done, you’ll be logged in with the same profile.
If you use Email/Phone:
-
Click “Email / Phone Login.”
-
Enter your email + password (same as mobile).
-
You may receive a code by email — enter it to verify.
PART 4: Verify Account Sync
Once logged in on Mac:
-
Click your profile picture (top-right).
-
It should show your username and possibly “Pro” badge if you have a CapCut Pro subscription.
-
Open My Projects → you should see your recent edits if cloud sync is enabled.
If nothing syncs, try:
-
Going to Settings → Cloud Sync on both mobile and Mac → toggle ON.
PART 5: Optional fix if you still can’t log in
If your email isn’t recognized or you get a login loop (e.g., “This email isn’t registered yet…”):
-
Try logging out from CapCut mobile.
-
Then log in again using “Continue with Google / TikTok” (not Email).
-
That re-links your CapCut account to a global login identity.
-
Then retry login on Mac using the same method.
