Hi, Just purchased Capcut Pro version and am trying to share my default space with 2 collaborators so that they can upload content we want to work on.

However when they try to access via the emailed links they get the message "this space is already full" and are not able to gain access.

I have 0Gb used space of 100Gb available. I have invited only 2 collaborators. Its a fresh account and so I have not managed to do anything as yet. Anyone able to point me in the right direction to solve this?

Many thanks in advance

Hi,

It is surprising to see the "space is already full" message when you clearly have storage available which usually points to a limit on the number of members allowed in a space, rather than the storage capacity itself.

Here is a breakdown of potential causes and steps to resolve this:

  1. Check CapCut Pro Plan Member Limits:

    • The Issue: While CapCut Pro gives you 100GB of storage, the specific plan you purchased would have a limit on the number of free members you can invite to a single space. Often, collaboration features are tiered. Your Pro plan would allow only the owner (you) plus maybe one other member, or it might require a specific "Team" plan or additional payment per collaborator seat.
    • How to Check: Go back to the CapCut pricing page or your subscription details within your CapCut account settings. Look specifically for information about "Team Members," "Collaborators," or "Space Members" associated with your specific Pro plan. There would be different tiers of Pro or separate "Team" subscriptions.
  2. Verify You are Inviting to the Correct Pro Space:

    • The Issue: Sometimes, users might inadvertently create or try to invite collaborators to a default free space that still exists on their account, rather than the newly upgraded Pro space. Free spaces often have very strict member limits (just the owner).
    • How to Check: In CapCut (especially the web or desktop version where space management is clearer), ensure you are inside the Space that explicitly shows the 100GB capacity. When you generate the invite link, double-check that you are doing it from within that specific Pro space.
  3. Create a Dedicated "Team Space":

    • The Issue: Sometimes you might need to explicitly create a "Team Space" after upgrading, separate from your personal cloud space, to use collaboration features. Your personal 100GB might be just for you, and collaboration happens in a designated team area.
    • How to Check: Look within CapCut's interface (again, web/desktop might be easier) for options "Create Team," "New Space," or "Team Management." See if you need to set up a distinct space for collaboration that inherits your Pro benefits.
  4. Resend Fresh Invitation Links:

    • The Issue: Links can sometimes expire or glitch.
    • How to Fix: Go back into your Pro space, remove the pending invitations if possible, and generate completely new invitation links for your collaborators. Ask them to use only the newest link.
  5. Temporary Glitch or Sync Delay:

    • The Issue: If the purchase was very recent, it's possible the system hasn't fully synced your new Pro status and its associated member permissions across all servers.
    • How to Fix: Wait for an hour or two, log out and log back into your CapCut account, and then try sending the invites again.
  6. Collaborator Account Status:

    • The Issue: While usually not the case for simply joining a space, ensure your collaborators have basic (even free) CapCut accounts set up and are logged in when they click the link.
    • How to Check: Ask them to log into CapCut first, then try the invitation link.
  7. Upgrade to the Team Tier Package: This package is designed for teams requiring collaboration among more than two members. Upgrading will enable you to add the desired number of collaborators to your space.

  8. Manage Collaborators Within Current Limits: If upgrading isn't preferable, you may need to limit your collaboration to one additional member as per the current free tier restrictions.

For detailed instructions on managing your space and inviting members, you can refer to CapCut's official guide.

Troubleshooting Steps Summary:

  1. Confirm Member Limits: Check your specific CapCut Pro plan details for collaborator seat limits. This is the most likely culprit.
  2. Verify Space: Ensure you're inviting from the correct 100GB Pro space.
  3. Look for "Team Space": See if you need to create a separate space for collaboration.
  4. Regenerate Invites: Send fresh links.
  5. Wait & Retry: Allow time for system sync if the purchase was very recent.
  6. Contact CapCut Customer Support: If none of the above work, the issue might be specific to your account or a bug. Contacting CapCut's official support with your account details and the exact error message is the best next step. They can check the backend and clarify the limits or fix any glitches.

Start by checking the member limits associated with your specific Pro plan, as the error message strongly suggests you've hit a member limit, not a storage limit.
