As of about a week ago now, someone i share a Space with has been unable to see anything I have added, or edited, in out shared Space. Oddly, I can see changes they made, but not the other way around.

This is for the desktop version - I am on PC, them a Mac. I am able to see said projects on my mobile app. They also cannot see these items on the web version either. We have the Teams plan.

We have done all the things; a simple refresh, them using a different ISP, both of us using a VPN for the same locations (tried 3 of them), playing around on both the app and web platforms - but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be *greatly* appreciated, as we are beyond frustrated and are losing time and money on this.

Hi,

This sounds like a syncing bug within CapCut Spaces on Teams, not something on your end. The fact that:

  • You see their edits, but they don’t see yours.

  • You can see everything on mobile, but they cannot on desktop or web.

  • VPNs, ISPs, refresh, and reinstalling haven’t fixed it.

…all point to a server-side sync or permission issue tied to your Space or account roles.

Here are some advanced troubleshooting steps you can try before escalating to CapCut support:

Steps to try:

  1. Check role/permissions in the Space

    • Go to your CapCut Space settings → Members.

    • Confirm they are not accidentally set as Viewer only (which can sometimes block updates).

    • If possible, temporarily remove them and re-invite them to the Space.

  2. Force a sync by duplicating the project

    • On your PC, right-click one of the projects they cannot see.

    • Choose Duplicate → move that copy into a new folder inside the Space.

    • Ask them if they see the duplicate.

    • Sometimes the sync breaks on old project IDs, but a fresh copy “pings” the server.

  3. Test a New Space

    • Create a new Space under the Teams plan.

    • Share it with them and move one small test project there.

    • If they see it in the new Space but not the old one, your original Space may be corrupted on CapCut’s backend.

  4. Cross-Check Account Login

    • Confirm they are signed into the same CapCut account that’s on your Teams plan, not a personal/free account.

    • If they log in with Apple ID/Google and the Teams subscription is under email, that mismatch can cause visibility issues.

  5. Clear Cache & Data on Desktop

    • On both your PC and their Mac → CapCut Settings → Clear Cache.

    • Fully log out → quit app → reopen → log back in.

    • This can refresh local sync tokens that sometimes get stuck.

If none of this works, then...

Since this is directly tied to your Teams subscription and shared workspace, it’s very likely a server-side sync bug on CapCut’s end.

We would recommend you both file a support ticket with CapCut under your Teams account, including:

  • Space ID (found in Space settings → Info).

  • Both account emails.

  • Screenshots showing “missing projects” vs. visible ones.

  • Confirmation that mobile sees them but desktop does not.

This way, they can check the backend logs for that Space.

I appreciate the thorough reply. Thank you.

We tried duplicating projects, and just about everything else you suggested, including making new Spaces etc. The other problem is that the invites we sent each other were expired upon arrival (have another post about that issue), so when they removed me from their Space (planning on re-adding me) I lost access to their Space altogether.

To be honest we got tired and quite stressed trying to fix it, gave that up, and are now using Google Drive to host the projects. It's actually a little faster, and we can save $$ not having to do a team plan now.

Again, I appreciate the help.

If the invites keep arriving as expired, plus the one-way sync issue, it’s almost certainly a backend bug with CapCut Spaces/Teams that you wouldn’t be able to solve on your end. We can imagine how stressful that was when you are on deadlines.

Switching to Google Drive (or Dropbox/OneDrive) makes a lot of sense:

  • You get more predictable sync and version control.

  • You are not locked into CapCut’s buggy Team infrastructure.

  • And like you said you are saving money while gaining speed.

If you are editing in CapCut but hosting projects externally, a couple of quick workflow tips might help smooth things out:

  • Export Project Files (.ccproj or exported templates) → keep them in Drive so each of you can open the exact same project version locally.

  • Use a consistent folder structure (e.g. ProjectName > Assets > Versions) so you are both in sync without confusion.

  • Consider naming conventions with timestamps (e.g. ProjectX_v2_2025-09-24) to avoid overwriting each other’s edits.

  • If you are moving large video assets, Drive’s streaming file client (instead of browser upload/download) can save you a lot of time.

It’s not as “integrated” as Spaces, but often more reliable for teams especially if you’re juggling PC + Mac.

Thanks for the good advice. We had already figured out a directory and naming structure so we don't lose track of things.

I do miss being able to use folders, like in Spaces, but we'll manage 😛

CapCut Spaces did have that nice built-in foldering + visual preview, which feels more editor-friendly than plain Drive directories.

If you miss the folder feel, a couple of lightweight workarounds could give you some of that same organization:

  • Drive Shortcuts → You can create shortcuts to files or subfolders so the same file can “live” in multiple places (like CapCut’s folders inside a Space).

  • Color-code folders → Right-click → “Change color” to group projects visually (Drafts = blue, Finals = green, etc.).

  • Google Drive grid view → Switch from list to grid to at least get thumbnails of your videos instead of just filenames.

  • If you want a more visual “board” view, connect your Drive folder to Notion or Trello. Each card can link directly to the Drive file, and you can drag/drop them like you would projects in Spaces.

It is not quite as seamless, but once you get into the habit, it can even be more flexible since you are not locked into CapCut’s system.
