Hello i try to work on CapCut since this morning, i use the same model for every contents i do and since today, my model don't want to be applied on new content. I tried to create new one and to dupplicate on new content. It doesn't work either. Can you fix this please, thank you.
Hi,
It looks like you are experiencing an issue with subtitle style models in CapCut not applying correctly to new content. This issue can be caused by a few things. Let’s go step-by-step to troubleshoot and fix it:
Common Causes & Fixes
1. CapCut Cache or Temporary Bug
-
Fix: Restart CapCut completely.
-
On PC/Mac: Fully quit from the system tray or Task Manager, then reopen.
-
On Mobile: Force close the app and relaunch.
-
-
If restarting doesn't work, the app's cache might be corrupted.
-
On Android, go to Settings > Apps > CapCut > Storage, then tap "Clear Cache."
-
On iOS, go to Settings > iPhone Storage > CapCut and select "Offload App" to clear data without deleting the app. You can then reinstall it.
-
As a last resort, you can uninstall and reinstall the app completely, but be sure to back up your projects first.
-
2. Corrupted Subtitle Model
-
Even if it worked earlier, the file or style settings may be corrupted now.
-
Fix: Delete the existing model and create a fresh one from scratch, not by duplicating.
3. Audio and Generation Issues
-
Audio Quality: The auto-caption feature relies on clear audio. If the audio is too soft, distorted, or has a lot of background noise, the captions might not generate correctly.
-
Try boosting the volume of your audio before generating captions.
-
You might need to remove background noise in the editing process.
-
-
Re-generate Captions: Try deleting the existing subtitle layer and generating new auto-captions from scratch on the new content. This can sometimes fix a bug where the model is not applying correctly.
4. App Version Bug
-
CapCut sometimes introduces bugs in updates that affect features like subtitles or models.
-
Fix: Check for updates in the App Store / Play Store or CapCut PC version. Try updating.
-
Network Connection: Sometimes, network issues can prevent the app from properly generating or applying captions, especially if it relies on a cloud-based service.
-
Check your internet connection.
-
You can use a VPN to solve network-related errors with CapCut, particularly for features like auto-captions and effects.
-
5. Project compatibility issue
-
If your new content has different video resolution, ratio, or text settings, the model may fail to apply.
-
Fix:
-
Open a working project.
-
Copy the subtitle layer.
-
Paste it into the new project (use keyboard shortcuts or drag/drop between open projects if using PC/Mac).
-
-
Check Visibility: It's possible that the subtitle layer is hidden, muted, or placed off-screen.
-
Go to your editing timeline and ensure the caption track is visible and not accidentally deleted.
-
Make sure the opacity isn't set to 0%.
-
Drag the text box back into the video frame if it has been moved off-screen.
-
6. Cloud Sync or Account Issue
-
If you’re using CapCut cloud sync or switching between devices, models may not carry over properly.
-
Fix:
-
Make sure you are logged into the same CapCut account.
-
Re-save your subtitle model locally (not in cloud), and apply again.
-
Additional Workaround: Manual Style Transfer
If models still don’t apply:
-
Open your old project where the subtitle style works.
-
Click on the subtitle text box and copy its style settings (font, animation, color, effects).
-
In the new project, paste or manually set those same values in the subtitle box.
If none of the above work:
-
Backup your projects (export or save to cloud).
-
Uninstall and reinstall CapCut.
-
Test applying subtitle models on a fresh project.
If you've tried all of these steps and the issue persists, it might be a temporary bug with CapCut itself, or there might be an issue with your specific device. In that case, you could try working on a different device (like CapCut Desktop) to see if the issue is device-specific.
Questions to Narrow It Down
Can you let us know:
-
Are you using CapCut on PC, Mac, iPhone, or Android?
-
Is it a custom subtitle style model, or one from the CapCut preset templates?
-
Does any subtitle appear at all, or nothing shows up?
Once we know those, we can give more specific fixes.
