Good day! I unfortunately did not know that CapCut can automatically get the amount from my account for my monthly subscription. It just happened 27 minutes ago and was shocked when Gcash sent me a message, notifying me that I have successfully paid PHP 359.00. However, I was supposed to use that amount for an urgent educational matter. I have not yet used any of the features as it happened 27 minutes ago only. Please send me help urgently. I have already sent an email to CapCut support services however there is still no response. I humbly ask that you please help me get a refund. I acknowledge I am o be blamed for not remembering that I have subscribed to a monthly subscription, but please help me get a refund. I would really appreciate it if this be addresses ASAP. Thank you very much.
Hi,
We are sorry to know you are facing unexpected charges from CapCut, especially when you needed the funds for something important. Please note that on this forum we do not have access to any account related details and therefore everything needs to be handled through CapCut customer support team itself who can be reached out at [email protected].
Since you’ve already sent an email to CapCut support, here are some urgent steps you can take right now to improve your chances of getting a refund:
1. Request a Refund via Apple/Google (depending on how you paid):
If your CapCut subscription was made through the app store (iPhone or Android):
For iPhone (Apple ID):
-
Sign in with your Apple ID.
-
Find the CapCut Pro charge (PHP 359).
-
Click "Request a refund" and choose the reason (e.g., "Accidental purchase").
-
Submit and wait for Apple’s response (usually within 48 hours, often sooner).
For Android (Google Play):
-
Click "Order History".
-
Find the CapCut subscription charge.
-
Click "Report a problem" and choose the reason to request a refund.
2. If You Paid Using GCash Directly (outside app stores):
If the payment was taken via GCash linked to a TikTok or CapCut account:
-
Contact GCash Support immediately through the app:
-
Open the GCash app → Help Center → “Chat with Gigi” or use their hotline: *2882
-
Give them the transaction ID and explain it was an unintentional auto-renewal.
-
GCash may flag the transaction and assist in chargebacks if it’s recent and unused.
3. Send a Follow-up Email to CapCut:
Send a follow up email to CapCut support (email ID given above). You can use the following template:
-
CapCut Account UID: [insert here]
-
Email/TikTok ID linked (if any): [insert here]
-
Payment Time: [insert time and date]
-
Payment Method: GCash
-
Amount: PHP 359.00
-
Reason: Auto-renewal was unexpected and funds were meant for an urgent educational matter. No features were used post-renewal.
Final Tip:
Make sure to turn off auto-renewal immediately to avoid this again:
-
Go to CapCut App > Profile > Settings > Subscription and cancel it.
-
Or cancel from the App Store / Play Store depending on your platform.
