I have a problem with signing in my CapCut account. Before I used to signing in with my tik tok account but now it’s banned and I can’t sign in and I had subscription there.
Hi,
Issue Summary:
-
You used to sign into CapCut using your TikTok account.
-
Now TikTok is banned in your region, so you can’t use it to sign in.
-
You had an active CapCut Pro subscription linked to that account.
The Problem:
CapCut and TikTok are both owned by ByteDance, so they’re deeply integrated. If TikTok login is no longer functional in your region, and that’s the only method you used to access your CapCut account, you might be locked out of both the account and your Pro subscription.
Solutions:
1. Use a Different Login Method (if linked earlier)
Did you ever link your CapCut account to:
-
An email address
-
A phone number
-
Google, Facebook, or Apple account?
Try going to CapCut login and choosing one of those options to see if you can still get into your account without TikTok.
2. Contact CapCut Support
Since you had an active subscription, you can request recovery or transfer to a new account. Do the following:
- Email: [email protected]
-
State that your linked TikTok account has been banned.
-
Explain that you have an active CapCut subscription.
-
Provide any details you have about your CapCut subscription:
-
The email address associated with your CapCut account (even if you primarily logged in with TikTok).
-
Any transaction IDs or receipts for your subscription payments (these are crucial!). You would have received these from the app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) or directly from CapCut if you subscribed through their website.
-
The approximate date you started your subscription.
-
The exact name of the subscription plan you had.
-
-
Include details:
-
Your TikTok username or ID
-
Your purchase receipts (from Apple/Google Play/PayPal/email)
-
Mention TikTok is banned in your country and you cannot access your account anymore
-
Request to transfer your subscription to a new email login or other method
-
3. Try Logging in with VPN (as a temporary workaround)
If you're urgently trying to retrieve or back up your CapCut projects:
-
Use a VPN set to a country where TikTok is not banned
-
Try logging in with TikTok again through CapCut
-
If successful, go into settings and link your CapCut account to an email or other login method immediately
4. Check for Alternative Login Methods:
While you primarily used TikTok, did you ever link any other accounts (like Google or Apple ID) to your CapCut account, or create a direct CapCut login with an email and password? Try those if you did.
5. App Store Subscription Management:
If you subscribed to CapCut through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS), your subscription is managed by that platform. You might be able to:
-
Cancel the existing subscription: This prevents further charges, though it doesn't solve your access problem.
-
Check past purchases: You might find records of your CapCut subscription there, which can provide crucial information (like transaction IDs) to give to CapCut support.
Steps for App Store Management:
-
For Android (Google Play Store):
-
Open the Google Play Store app.
-
Tap your profile icon (top right).
-
Tap "Payments & subscriptions" then "Subscriptions."
-
Find CapCut and see if you can manage it from there.
-
-
For iOS (Apple App Store):
-
Open the Settings app.
-
Tap your name at the top.
-
Tap "Subscriptions."
-
Find CapCut and see if you can manage it.
-
Important Notes:
-
CapCut does not allow merging two accounts, but they may transfer subscriptions on request.
-
If your subscription was through Apple or Google Play, you may still have a receipt and can prove your payment to request help.
-
Once resolved, link a secondary login method (email, phone, or Google) to avoid this issue again.
-
Be Patient: Support inquiries can sometimes take time to resolve.
-
Provide Proof: The more proof you can provide about your subscription (receipts, transaction IDs), the better your chances of a successful resolution.
-
New Account (as a last resort): If all attempts to recover your old account and subscription fail, you might need to create a new CapCut account. However, this means starting fresh and potentially losing any saved projects associated with your old account. If you go this route, ensure you subscribe with a separate email or method not linked to TikTok.
Good luck. We hope you're able to regain access to your CapCut subscription.
