I'm getting "ai generate" watermark on the top left corner whenever I do an image-to-video render. Any reason for this?

Hi,

Being a paid CapCut member does not automatically remove the “AI Generate” watermark on image-to-video outputs. That watermark is tied to AI-generated content rules, not the general Pro subscription.

CapCut treats Image → Video (AI) as a separate AI-generation feature, and it has its own watermark logic:

AI Generate watermark ≠ standard CapCut watermark

  • The usual CapCut watermark (bottom corner) is removed by Pro

  • The “AI Generate” watermark (top-left) is a content disclosure label

  • It’s added to comply with AI transparency policies in some regions

Even Pro users see it.

Not all AI tools are “Pro-unlocked”

CapCut splits features into:

  • Editing tools (covered by Pro)

  • AI generative tools (some are still watermarked)

As of now:

  • AI text effects, background removal → usually watermark-free with Pro

  • Image-to-video AI → still watermarked in many regions

Region & platform matter

The watermark behavior can differ by:

  • Country / region

  • Mobile vs desktop

  • Web vs app

Some regions legally require AI-generated content to be labeled.

Template-based AI video

If you are using:

  • AI Motion templates

  • AI cinematic video presets

  • Image-to-video “Generate” buttons

Those almost always trigger the AI Generate watermark, regardless of subscription.

Can you remove it?

Currently: No guaranteed official way

CapCut does not offer a toggle to remove the AI Generate watermark yet.

Workarounds:

  • Animate images manually using:

    • Keyframes

    • Camera movement

    • Motion blur

  • Use non-AI video effects instead of Image→Video

  • Generate the motion elsewhere and import as video

Exporting and cropping technically works, but may violate CapCut’s terms depending on use.

What to check just in case

Before assuming it is unavoidable:

  1. Make sure you are logged into the correct Pro account

  2. Confirm the tool says “AI Generate” (not just “Animation”)

  3. Try exporting a non-AI video → watermark should be gone

Will this change?

CapCut has been:

  • Gradually removing AI watermarks for Pro users in some regions

  • Testing “AI credits” systems

So this may change, but right now it’s expected behavior.

If you need a temporary workaround if this is causing problem then you can answer the below queries and we will help you out:

  • Whether you are using CapCut Desktop or mobile?

  • Which exact tool (e.g., “Image to Video – Cinematic”)

  • Your region from where you are using CapCut
