I have tried to cease my account. Gone to settings - gone to account - hit delete.
I was signed in yet it asked me to sign in again. Did that- took me back to catcup software which is downloaded on my pooter. went back into settings - account- delets- sign in , again. happened 5 times so far. Will not let me delete account. Have updated capcut, refreshed screen, closed software, then reopened.
What am i doing wrong please. Any help appreciated.

You are not doing anything wrong as what you are experiencing is a known CapCut loop issue, and it is confusing because canceling a subscription, logging out, and deleting an account are three different things. CapCut app makes this a little challenging.
Below is the correct way to stop being charged, and then how to delete your account, plus why the loop is happening.
First: Stop the subscription
Deleting your account does not always cancel billing. You must cancel the subscription where you originally subscribed.
If you subscribed on desktop (CapCut website)
Go to https://www.capcut.com
Log in in a web browser not the app
Click your profile picture (top right)
Go to Subscription / Plan
Click Cancel subscription
Confirm
This stops future charges.
If you subscribed via Apple (iPhone/iPad/Mac App Store)
Open Settings on your Apple device
Tap your Apple ID
Tap Subscriptions
Select CapCut
Tap Cancel Subscription
If you subscribed via Google Play
Open Google Play Store
Tap your profile picture
Tap Payments & subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions
Select CapCut
Tap Cancel
Second: Why account deletion keeps looping (what’s happening)
many of our users on this forum have also reported that CapCut desktop software cannot delete accounts properly.
When you click:
Settings → Account → Delete
It redirects you to a web-based login, then bounces you back to the app creating an endless sign-in loop. This is a CapCut bug, not user error.
Updating, refreshing, reinstalling will not fix it.
The ONLY reliable way to delete your CapCut account
You must do it in a web browser, not the desktop app.
Try this exact method:
Open Chrome / Edge / Safari
Go to:
https://www.capcut.comLog in
Click your profile picture
Go to Account Settings
Choose Delete account
If it still loops:
Log out everywhere
Clear browser cookies/cache
Try Incognito / Private window
Log in again and delete
If deletion STILL fails (final step)
CapCut requires manual intervention.
Contact CapCut Support:
Request CapCut team to delete and they will delete it on their end.
What you should do right now:
- Cancel subscription first (Apple / Google / Web)
- Ignore the desktop app for deletion
- Delete account via browser only
- Contact support if loop persists
