Hey there. I use capcut mobile. I have tried multiple ways to get my saved tiktok audios to show up on capcut however they don’t show up. None of them do. I have reinstalled capcut, logged in and out, to no avail. Can someone please help?
Hi,
You are encountering a common issue where your saved TikTok audios aren't appearing in CapCut despite trying standard troubleshooting steps. This can be challenging, as the integration between the two apps is designed to allow seamless access to your favorited sounds.
CapCut used to allow access to saved TikTok audios via your linked account, but as of recent updates, that integration has been limited or completely removed for many users—especially outside of certain regions (like China or Southeast Asia). This means your saved TikTok audios may no longer automatically show up in CapCut.
What You Can Do Instead:
1. Manually Import TikTok Audio:
You can still use TikTok audios in CapCut by extracting them yourself:
-
Open the TikTok with the sound you want.
-
Tap "Share" > "Save Video" (make sure it includes the sound).
-
Open CapCut > New Project.
-
Add the saved TikTok video.
-
Tap the video clip > tap "Extract Audio".
-
Delete the video clip and keep the audio.
2. Screen Record the TikTok Audio:
If you don’t want to save the whole video:
-
Use your iPhone's Screen Recording feature while playing the TikTok with the sound.
-
Import that screen recording into CapCut and extract the audio from it.
While this method doesn't directly use your saved list from TikTok, it allows you to get the desired audio into your CapCut project.
If You're Logged Into TikTok in CapCut:
Check that:
-
You're logged in to the same TikTok account in CapCut.
-
CapCut has permission to access your TikTok data (some countries have privacy restrictions).
To check login link:
Go to CapCut > Me (Profile) > Settings > TikTok Account and verify the connection.
- Verify the TikTok Account Linking in CapCut:
While you mentioned logging in and out, it's crucial to ensure the TikTok account is correctly linked within CapCut for sound access.
- Open CapCut and start or open a project.
- Tap on "Audio" at the bottom.
- Tap on "Sounds."
- Look for a TikTok icon or a section specifically for TikTok sounds.
- Tap on the TikTok option and ensure your account is linked. You might need to authorize CapCut to access your TikTok data. If it appears linked, try unlinking and relinking your account.
- Copyright Restrictions:
Some sounds on TikTok, especially commercial music, may have copyright restrictions that prevent them from being used outside of the TikTok platform or in other editing apps like CapCut. It's possible that the specific audios you've saved fall under these restrictions.
- Glitches and Integration Issues:
The integration between TikTok and CapCut can sometimes be subject to glitches or changes in their APIs that affect the syncing of saved sounds.
It's important to understand that due to the nature of app integrations and potential copyright limitations, there might not be a guaranteed fix for every saved sound. However, by trying these steps, you increase your chances of resolving the issue or finding a viable workaround.
Regional Restrictions:
If you are outside regions where CapCut is tightly integrated with TikTok (like Indonesia or the Philippines), some features might just not work. There's no fix for this unless CapCut restores global TikTok audio linking.
