It is a common issue when moving to a new country that CapCut subscriptions might not automatically update to the local currency and pricing. Here's what you need to know and try for CapCut Pro:

Understanding the Problem

CapCut determines your region and pricing based on a few factors, primarily:

1. Your App Store/Google Play Store Region: This is the most significant factor. If your Apple ID or Google Play account is still set to Sweden, that's likely why you're seeing Swedish prices.

2. Your IP Address: While a VPN can temporarily change this, for a persistent subscription, it's linked to your account's billing region.

3. Billing Information: The credit card or payment method associated with your subscription.

How to Change CapCut Region & Currency

CapCut ties pricing to the country of account registration or current IP region—so it shows Swedish currency because it still thinks you're in Sweden.

You’ll need to make CapCut into recognizing you’re now in Thailand. There are two main steps:

1. Use a VPN to Connect from Thailand

• Choose a reliable VPN (like NordVPN, ExpressVPN, etc.).

• Connect to a server located in Thailand.

• Make sure your VPN is active throughout the process.

2. Restart or Reinstall CapCut

• Close and fully restart the app after connecting VPN.

• Optionally, uninstall and reinstall CapCut while connected via Thailand.

• This forces CapCut to detect your new IP and update the region.

How to change region settings in the app store:

Since CapCut Pro subscriptions are tied to your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you primarily need to change your region within those stores.

Important Considerations Before You Start:

• Cancel Existing Subscription: You will need to cancel your current CapCut Pro subscription that's billed in SEK. Wait for the current subscription period to end.

• Spend Store Credit: If you have any remaining balance in your Apple ID or Google Play account from Sweden, you might need to spend it before you can change your region.

• Payment Method: You'll need a valid payment method (credit card, debit card, etc.) linked to a Thai billing address.

• Some Apps/Content Might Not Be Available: Be aware that changing your app store region might affect the availability of some other apps, music, movies, or books you've previously purchased or downloaded, as content availability varies by region.

For iOS (Apple App Store):

1. Cancel CapCut Pro Subscription:

   • Go to Settings > tap your Apple ID (your name at the top).

   • Tap Subscriptions.

   • Find CapCut Pro and tap "Cancel Subscription." Confirm the cancellation.

2. Change Your Apple ID Region:

   • Go to Settings > tap your Apple ID.

   • Tap Media & Purchases, then tap View Account. You might need to sign in.

   • Tap Country/Region.

   • Tap Change Country or Region, then select Thailand.

   • Review the terms and conditions, then tap Agree.

   • Select a payment method valid in Thailand and enter your new billing information and address. Tap Next.

3. Re-subscribe to CapCut Pro:

   • Once your Apple ID region is successfully changed to Thailand, open the CapCut app.

   • Go to the CapCut Pro subscription section within the app.

   • You should now see the prices in Thai Baht (THB) and be able to subscribe using your new Thai payment method.

For Android (Google Play Store):

1. Cancel CapCut Pro Subscription:

   • Open the Google Play Store app.

   • Tap your profile icon (top right).

   • Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

   • Find CapCut Pro and tap Cancel subscription.

2. Change Your Google Play Store Region:

   • Open the Google Play Store app.

   • Tap your profile icon.

   • Go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences.

   • Under "Country and profiles," you should see your current country. If you have a payment method from Thailand, you should see an option to switch to the Thailand Play Store.

   • Follow the on-screen prompts to update your country. You will need to add a payment method with a billing address in Thailand.

   • Note: Google Play only allows you to change your country once per year.

3. Re-subscribe to CapCut Pro:

   • After your Google Play Store region is updated, open the CapCut app.

   • Go to the CapCut Pro subscription section within the app.

   • You should now see the prices in Thai Baht (THB) and be able to subscribe.

What if it doesn't work immediately or I can't change my app store region?

• Contact CapCut Customer Support: If you've followed these steps and are still facing issues, contact CapCut's official support. They will have a specific process for subscription transfers or region changes that aren't immediately obvious.

• Create a New Account (Last Resort): As a last resort, if you absolutely cannot change your existing account's region and need CapCut Pro in Thailand, you could consider creating a completely new Apple ID or Google account, setting its region to Thailand, and then subscribing to CapCut Pro with that new account. However, this means you'll lose access to any purchases or subscriptions made on your old account.
