  • CapCut restricts some features based on your location. Even if your app is updated, certain AI features might not be available in your region yet.
• Account Type & Login Method
  • Make sure you're:
    • Logged into a CapCut account (not using it as a guest).
    • Using the same account type (TikTok login, email, Apple ID, etc.) that’s supported for Pro features in your region.
• Platform Differences
  • AI Character is first available on CapCut Web or CapCut Desktop (PC/Mac) rather than the mobile app.
  • If you’re using CapCut on iPhone or Android, check the desktop or web version to see if it's available there.

AI Character Feature Specifics:

• The AI Character feature allows you to add virtual characters that speak narration you provide.
• Accessing it typically involves adding text to your video first, selecting the text, and then finding the "AI Characters" option.

CapCut Pro vs. Free:

• However, the basic AI Character feature is part of the free tier where it is available. Therefore, upgrading to Pro is unlikely to make the AI Character feature appear if it's completely absent from your interface due to regional restrictions.

  • Log into your account.
  • Click "Create new project".
  • Look for “AI Character” or “AI Presenter” in the toolbar.
• Use a VPN
  • If the feature is not showing, and you suspect it’s a region lock, you can:
  • Use a VPN set to the United States or Singapore, where most new features roll out first.
