Hello, when I put a text on a mountain, in a video, I want that this text will stay at the same place over the mountain when the video is running 360 degrees and the mountain disappear in the video. Sorry for my bad english 🙂

Hi,

You are trying to stick text onto a mountain in a video, and you want the text to stay "attached" to that mountain even as the camera moves around in a 360-degree motion (and the mountain eventually disappears from view).

This effect is called motion tracking or object tracking, and it's a bit tricky in CapCut, but possible with workarounds.

As of now, CapCut (PC and mobile) does not have automatic motion tracking for 3D or rotating backgrounds. But you can manually keyframe the position of the text so that it follows the mountain as it moves.

Manual keyframe tracking in CapCut

Here’s how to do it:

On CapCut for PC:

  1. Import your video with the rotating mountain.

  2. Add your text and place it over the mountain at the beginning.

  3. Go to the "Keyframe" tool:

    • Select the text layer.

    • Move the playhead to the first frame where you want the text to appear.

    • Click the diamond icon to add a keyframe.

  4. Frame by frame, as the mountain moves:

    • Move the playhead a few frames forward.

    • Adjust the position of the text to match the movement of the mountain.

    • CapCut will automatically create new keyframes as you move the text.

  5. Continue this process until the mountain disappears or you want the text to stop tracking it.

  6. (Optional) Add a fade out animation when the mountain disappears.

  7. This process takes time but will create the illusion that the text is “stuck” to the mountain.

On CapCut Mobile (iPhone or Android):

  1. Add the video.

  2. Add the text.

  3. Tap the text > tap Keyframe (diamond icon).

  4. Move the timeline a few frames, then reposition the text.

  5. Repeat as the mountain moves.

  6. Optional: Add an "Out" animation when the mountain disappears.

Tips:

  • Use zoomed-in playback to track small movements accurately.

  • Add keyframes every 5–10 frames, or fewer if the motion is fast.

  • You can also blur the background or dim it slightly, to make the text pop.

Alternative: Use After Effects or Davinci Resolve

If you want automatic tracking, you’d need software like:

  • After Effects (with built-in motion tracking)

  • DaVinci Resolve (Free) – has good tracking tools

  • HitFilm Express (also free)

But if you are only using CapCut, manual keyframes are your best option.
