Hello CapCut Support,

I recently used CapCut to create a video for a school project. While working on captions, I saw an option for “Free 3 more tries,” which I used. When I attempted to export my video, I realized the captions were part of CapCut Pro. Since I was running out of time to submit my project, I quickly signed up for the 7-day free trial of CapCut Pro in order to finish on time.

Now that my project is complete, I would like to cancel my subscription before it renews. However, I cannot find a “Cancel Subscription” or “Manage Auto-Renewal” button anywhere. I tried:

  • Confirming I was logged into the

    correct account

  • Using both the desktop website and m

    obile app

  • Checking through the App Store and Google Play

  • Testing both mobile and desktop browsers

None of these options showed me a cancel button. In my research, I found that some users reported the cancel option only appears after the first billing cycle, which concerns me because I do not want to be charged.

Could you please help me cancel my subscription immediately so that I am not billed? If I am still charged due to this issue, would I be eligible for a refund?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the screenshots they really help clarify the situation. Based on the images we notice the below:

  • In your first screenshot, we see you activated the 7-day free trial of CapCut Pro on 2025/09/20 through Apple (App Store billing).

  • In your third screenshot, it shows your subscription is set to renew on 2025/09/27 for $199.99 (yearly) through Apple.

  • The issue is that CapCut itself doesn’t always provide a visible “Cancel” button because subscription management is entirely handled by Apple (or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed).

That’s why you couldn’t find the cancel button inside CapCut.

How to cancel your CapCut Pro Trial with Apple ID:

Since your subscription was made via Apple, you need to cancel it directly through your Apple account before September 27, 2025:

  1. On iPhone/iPad:

    • Open Settings → tap your Apple ID name (top of screen).

    • Go to Subscriptions.

    • Find CapCut Pro in the list.

    • Tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial.

  2. On Mac:

    • Open the App Store.

    • Click your account name (bottom left).

    • Go to Account SettingsSubscriptions.

    • Find CapCut Pro and cancel it.

  3. On the Web (Apple ID website):

Points to remember:

  • You must cancel before 09/27/2025 to avoid being billed.

  • If you cancel during the free trial, you will keep Pro access until the trial ends, but won’t be charged.

  • If for some reason you still get billed, you can request a refund directly from Apple:

    • Go to reportaproblem.apple.com

    • Sign in → choose CapCut Pro → select Request a refund → state that you canceled but were still charged. Apple typically honors these if done promptly.

Since your billing is through Apple, CapCut support cannot cancel it for you. The cancellation must happen via your Apple account.

Below is the exact process on Apple’s site to request a refund for CapCut:

How to request a refund from Apple:

  1. Go to Apple’s refund site:
    https://reportaproblem.apple.com

  2. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe to CapCut Pro.

  3. Once logged in, you’ll see a list of your recent purchases.

    • Look for CapCut Pro (Yearly).

  4. Next to the CapCut Pro subscription, click Report a Problem.

  5. A dropdown will appear:

    • Select “Request a refund.”

  6. Apple will then ask you to choose a reason:

    • Pick either:

      • “I didn’t intend to purchase this”

      • or “Subscription was renewed unexpectedly”

  7. Enter a short message with the below details:

    1. Apple ID: [your Apple ID email]

    2. Order number: [you can copy it from your billing history, e.g., AXI7BQA…]

    3. Purchase type: CapCut Pro (7-day free trial → yearly plan $199.99)

    4. Purchase date: September 20, 2025

    5. Renewal date: September 27, 2025

    6. Payment method: Apple

  8. Click Submit.

What happens next

  • Apple usually responds within 24–48 hours.

  • If approved, your refund goes back to your Apple ID balance, bank account, or card depending on how you paid.

  • You’ll get an email confirmation.

Since your trial ends on 09/27/2025, we recommend canceling it first via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, then immediately submitting the refund request form (or keeping it ready in case you are charged).

If Apple is not able to resolve this issue then please write this issue to CapCut customer support team at [email protected] with the details which you have mentioned here.

@admin

This also happened to me almost exactly.
On monday I was running out of time to submit an activity and couldn't since I used what I think it was either standard or premium benefits and didn't let me export, then I dont remember what I clicked but it said try 7 day trial for $0 and finally allowed me to export my video.

I just know that it was in the early hours of Monday the 29th to Tuesday the 30th, around 1:00 and 1:30 in the morning. I dont know if it's an error or something because I still have the benefits of whatever plan I picked, but I need to know how to cancel the trial NOW.

Info:

  • I use capcut on my phone which is IOS and made the process in there
  • I checked my appstore and I don't have any type of charge from Capcut, but I remember paying with my face id
  • I still have the premium tools but it says in blue "free trial" and I can use it, and the number of uses I can have from the tool.
  • I've sent my problem with the screenshots to the support but still no reply

I really need an answer as soon as possible!!

Hi,

CapCut offers a 7-day free trial of CapCut Pro (Premium). When you tapped "Try 7 days free for $0" and confirmed with Face ID, you didn’t get charged immediately. Instead, Apple started a free trial subscription under your Apple ID. If you don’t cancel it at least 24 hours before the 7th day ends, you will be automatically charged for the next billing cycle (monthly or yearly, depending on what you tapped).

How to cancel CapCut trial on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open your iPhone and go to ⚙️ Settings.

  2. Tap your Apple ID name (top of settings screen).

  3. Select Subscriptions.

  4. Find CapCut – Video Editor in the list.

  5. Tap it → Select Cancel Free Trial or Cancel Subscription.

    • It will show you the date your trial ends (likely Oct 6–7, since you started around Sept 30).

    • After canceling, you can still use Pro until the trial end date, but you won’t be charged.

Why you don’t see charges yet

  • Apple only charges after the trial ends.

  • That’s why you don’t see any payment in your App Store purchases yet.

  • The Face ID you used was just to confirm the trial activation, not an immediate payment.

Points to remember:

  • Make sure you cancel it today so you don’t miss the deadline.

  • Once canceled, you’ll see “Expires on …” instead of “Renews on …” in your Subscriptions list.
