Hi,

It's great you are considering CapCut Pro for your whole office. Let us clarify how device usage and multi-user access work.

Here is what you need to know about using CapCut Pro across multiple devices and users in an office setting:

Device limit and user access:

  • Single User, Multiple Devices: CapCut Pro subscriptions are designed for individual users. A single CapCut Pro subscription is linked to one user account and can be used on multiple devices by that single user. This is a common model for individual software subscriptions. You can read about the current pricing plans for CapCut PRO.
  • CapCut Pro is not designed for multiple users to simultaneously use the same subscription. Sharing a single account across multiple users would likely violate the terms of service and could lead to access issues or account suspension.

CapCut Pro for an office setting:

  • For office use, the standard approach would be for each user who needs CapCut Pro to have their own individual subscription. This ensures each person has legitimate access, their own workspace, and avoids account sharing problems.
  • Volume licensing/business plans: CapCut offers volume licensing or business plans for organizations needing multiple Pro accounts. These types of plans often provide centralized management and potentially discounted rates for multiple licenses. Reach out to the subscription support team at [email protected] and [email protected]. They will be able to work out a custom tailor-made plan for you based on your circumstance.

How to proceed for your office:

  1. Figure out exactly how many people in your office will need to use CapCut Pro.
  2. Assume you will need to purchase individual CapCut Pro subscriptions for each user.
  3. Contact CapCut Subscription Support: You should contact CapCut's  sales team directly using the mail IDs provided above. Inquire about:
    • Ask about the specific business or volume licensing plans available for organizations.
    • Confirm the device limit for a single user subscription and their terms of service regarding account sharing.
    • See if they offer any discounts for business or educational institutions purchasing multiple licenses.

CapCut Pro allows users to access premium features across multiple devices by logging in with the same account credentials. However, for multiple people accesses in the same office, a volume license plan is recommended.

For collaborative editing, CapCut offers features that facilitate teamwork:

  • Cloud Collaboration: CapCut's cloud-based platform allows teams to create shared spaces for collaborative editing. Each user can create up to three spaces (including the default space), invite up to four members per space, and utilize an initial storage capacity of 1 GB, which can be expanded based on member invitations.

  • Project Sharing: CapCut has introduced a "Share project" feature that enables multiple users to edit a video saved as a draft, enhancing collaborative workflows.

These features make CapCut Pro a viable option for offices or teams seeking collaborative video editing solutions. For detailed information on device usage policies contact the support directly.

In summary:

While one person can use CapCut Pro on multiple devices they own, it's almost certain that a single subscription is not intended for simultaneous use by multiple people in an office. For your office, plan on individual subscriptions per user as the standard approach. Contacting CapCut directly is the most important step to explore potential volume licensing or business solutions that might be a better fit for your needs and to get definitive answers about the licensing terms of CapCut for office environments.

I feel like CapCut only wants to do this and makes other people buy subscriptions as well even though it is a family plan because they just want more money. Who knows? I might be wrong.

Hi,

Yes you can use one CapCut Pro account on multiple devices (PC, Mac, mobile, web) as long as you sign in with the same account.

But there are a few important details:

  • One account = multiple devices
You are allowed to log in on more than one device (PC + Mac, or PC + phone, etc.).

  • Simultaneous usage
CapCut doesn’t officially support editing the same project at the exact same time on two computers. If both devices are open and editing, you might run into sync conflicts or overwritten changes.

  • Project syncing

    • If your project is saved to Cloud Space, you can open and continue editing on another device.

    • If it’s saved locally, it won’t sync you would need to manually transfer the files.

  • CapCut Teams plan vs. Pro

    • With Pro (individual), it’s just one account. You can use it on both your PC and Mac, but you’re still the only user.

    • With Teams, you get multiple seats so two people can work in parallel.

For your workflow (same person switching between home PC and Mac), CapCut Pro is enough just save your projects to the Cloud so you can pick up where you left off.

If you are wondering how to save and sync your CapCut projects in Cloud Space so you can move between your PC and Mac without hassle:

Step 1: Enable Cloud space

  1. Open CapCut on your PC/Mac.

  2. Sign in with your CapCut Pro account.

  3. On the home screen, look for Cloud Space (in the left panel).

  4. If prompted, activate it. Your Pro subscription should include extra storage.

Step 2: Save projects to cloud

  1. When creating a new project, choose Save to Cloud instead of local.

    • If you already started a project locally, you can go to File > Save As > Cloud Space.

  2. CapCut will upload your project files to the cloud.

Step 3: Sync across devices

  1. On your other device (PC or Mac), open CapCut and log in with the same account.

  2. Go to the Cloud Space tab.

  3. You’ll see all the projects you saved in the cloud just click and open.

  4. Continue editing, and your changes will auto-sync back to the cloud.

Step 4: Important notes

  • Cloud Space ensures media + edits are synced.

  • Don’t keep the same project open on both devices at once it can cause version conflicts.

  • For smoother work, upload big video files to Cloud in advance, so you don’t wait for syncing each time.
