Hi,

If you are subscribed to CapCut PRO but can't find the AI Expand feature, you are not alone several users have reported similar issues. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

  1. Verify you are using the CapCut desktop version

  2. Ensure you are logged into the correct account

    • Sometimes, the PRO subscription is linked to a specific login method (e.g., TikTok, Facebook, Google). If you are logged in with a different account, the PRO features might not be available.
    • Try logging out and then logging back in using the account associated with your PRO subscription.

  3. Use the QR Code login method
    1. Open CapCut on your desktop.

    2. Select the QR code login option.

    3. On your mobile device, open the CapCut app.

    4. Navigate to the user profile (bottom right), tap the menu icon (top right), and select "Scan."

    5. Scan the QR code displayed on your desktop screen.

    6. This method can help sync your PRO subscription across devices.

What other things to try:

  • Regional Restrictions: While CapCut is widely available, some features, especially newer AI capabilities, have staggered rollouts or be subject to regional availability. Your current location might be a factor.
  • Explore the Interface: After importing your media and adding it to the timeline, carefully look through all the editing options in the right-hand or bottom panel. Look for anything related to "AI," "Expand," "Canvas," "Resize," or "Magic Tools."
  • Specific Workflow: The AI Expand feature is usually applied to an image or video clip on the timeline. You will need to select the clip first to see the relevant options appear in the editing panel.
  • Ensure that both your desktop and mobile versions of CapCut are up to date. Outdated software can lead to missing features or functionality issues. Download the latest version for mobile and PC apps from here.

Clear Cache and Reinstall

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, consider clearing the application's cache or reinstalling CapCut:

  • Clear Cache:

    • Navigate to your system's settings.

    • Find the CapCut application in the list of installed apps.

    • Select it and choose the option to clear cache.

  • Reinstall CapCut:

    • Uninstall the current version of CapCut from your device.

    • Download and install the latest version from the official website.

This can help resolve any corrupted files or settings causing the issue.

Contact CapCut support

If none of the above solutions work, it's best to reach out to CapCut's support team for assistance. You can contact them via email at [email protected]. Provide them with details about your issue, including your account information and any troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
