Can't login - pro account mystically disappears

Logging into mobile, apple id, email, all the combinations - does not bring back my pro account. I was logged out automatically by the desktop app, and when i tried to scan via mobile app to sign in again, it showed my account as "not pro" anymore. 

 

Is there a way to use your user ID to sign in? Because for sure, I know that is the account for the pro subscription. 

 

Is there a way to cancel and ensure your account does not auto-renew? how is this legal?

Hi,

This problem happens in CapCut where Pro account disappears after logout, especially on desktop, and logging back in with Apple ID / email / TikTok creates a new non-Pro account instead of restoring the original .

Why your CapCut Pro account “disappeared”

This usually happens because:

  • CapCut created multiple hidden account IDs depending on login method

  • Desktop app logs you out and fails to re-sync subscription

  • App version is outdated and doesn’t recognize Pro status

  • Subscription is tied to a different login provider than expected (Apple vs email vs TikTok)

  • CapCut server sync bug (very common)

Fixes to restore Pro

Update CapCut Desktop

Best method to restore Pro is to update to the latest version:

  • Open CapCut → Settings → Version → Update

  • Restart CapCut after updating. Latest version is 7.9.0

Log in using QR Code from Mobile

If your phone still shows Pro:

  • Open CapCut on phone

  • Desktop → Sign in → Scan QR Code

  • This forces account sync

Try Restore Purchase option on your Mobile

CapCut → Profile → Settings → Restore Purchase
Useful if subscription was bought via Apple / Google Play

Make sure you are using the original login type

If you paid using:

  • Apple ID → Must log in with Apple

  • Google → Must log in with Google

  • TikTok → Must log in with TikTok

Using email instead may create a new empty account

Clear cache / reinstall

Do not uninstall directly as it can break ID sync.

Mobile:

  • Clear cache → reopen CapCut

Desktop:

  • Update → Restart → Re-login

If nothing works: Contact CapCut Support

Send proof of payment:

  • Receipt

  • Last 4 digits of card / PayPal

  • Approx purchase date

  • CapCut ID

Email:

Support can be slow or unreliable, but it is the official route.

Can you log in using CapCut User ID?

Unfortunately: NO.
CapCut does not allow login using only User ID — only via email/social login.
This is a known limitation and a major issue with CapCut accounts.

How to stop auto-renew?

If you subscribed via Apple

Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → CapCut → Cancel

If via Google Play

Play Store → Payments → Subscriptions → CapCut → Cancel

If via Desktop / Card / PayPal

Log into CapCut web → Billing → Cancel
OR cancel via your bank / PayPal dashboard

If you can’t recover the account

Below options are generally what users do:

  • Cancel card to stop charges

  • Subscribe again with a new email

  • Keep receipts to prevent double billing
