Hi,
Since you have already tried the common login methods (TikTok, Facebook, and your known email addresses), here is a breakdown of how you can try to find your CapCut Pro account, focusing on options other than using your credit card number directly for account retrieval (though payment information can be useful when contacting support):
1. Check for Associated Accounts:
- Review Linked Accounts: When you upgraded, you likely linked your CapCut account to one of your existing social media or email accounts. Even if you can't log in directly with them now, revisit the process you would have followed to upgrade. Did you click a "Continue with Google," "Continue with TikTok," or "Continue with Facebook" button? This might help you recall which account was originally linked.
- Look for Confirmation Emails: Search both of your email inboxes (and spam/junk folders) for keywords like "CapCut Pro," "subscription," "upgrade," "welcome," ByteDance, Pro, CapCut or "receipt" from around June-July of last year. The confirmation email for your Pro subscription would likely contain information about the account it's linked to or a unique user ID.
2. Utilize CapCut's Account Recovery Options:
- "Forgot Password" Feature: Although you mentioned trying emails, double-check the "Forgot Password" or "Sign-in Help" options on the CapCut login page (for both the web version and mobile app). This process asks for the email or phone number associated with the account and sends a reset link or code. Try any email addresses or phone numbers you might have used.
- Check "My Space" or Cloud Storage: If you used CapCut's cloud saving features or "My Space," your projects might be linked to an account. If you can access CapCut at all (even the free version), look for sections related to cloud storage or saved projects, as this might indicate the logged-in account.
3. Check Your App Store Purchase History
If you upgraded via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android):
-
Go to your purchase history to see which account was billed.
-
On iPhone: Settings > Your Name > Media & Purchases > View Account > Purchase History.
-
On Android: Play Store > Tap your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Budget & history.
This can help identify which Apple ID or Google account was used for the CapCut Pro subscription.
4. Use CapCut Web Login
Visit CapCut.com and try logging in there using:
-
TikTok
-
Facebook
-
Google
-
Apple ID
-
Any email address (with code verification)
Sometimes CapCut on mobile can behave differently than the web version, so this may help.
5. Contact CapCut customer Support:
- This is likely your best option. Write an email to [email protected]. Provide the support team with as much detail as possible to help them locate your account. Useful information includes:
- The email addresses and phone numbers you've tried.
- The social media accounts (TikTok, Facebook) you might have used to sign up or link.
- The approximate date of your CapCut Pro upgrade (June-July last year).
- The platform you used (mobile app, web version, desktop).
- Any transaction details you might have from the subscription purchase (even if you don't want to give your full credit card number, information like the date of transaction, amount, and the name of the service on your statement can be helpful for them to trace the payment).
- Any user ID or username you might have used or seen previously.
- Details about projects you might have saved in the account (names, content).
- Provide last 4 digits of your card (only if they ask for it — never send the full number)
Important Considerations:
- Account Linking: Remember that account information is often not shared across different login methods (email, Google, TikTok, Facebook). If you created the account using one method (e.g., TikTok) and later tried to log in with another (e.g., email), it might not be the same account.
- Subscription Details: While you want to avoid using your credit card number for direct login, having proof of your CapCut Pro subscription (like a transaction ID or receipt details) will be crucial when contacting support. This helps them verify that you are the account holder.
By systematically checking linked accounts, utilizing recovery features, and providing comprehensive information to CapCut support, you increase your chances of successfully finding and regaining access to your CapCut Pro account.
