Hi,

You are experiencing a CapCut PC login bug where the login window appears black and prevents you from accessing your Pro subscription. This is a known issue for some users. Here is a step-by-step guide to try and fix it:

Black Window During Login on PC:

A black window during the login process on CapCut for PC is a known issue with several potential causes. Here are troubleshooting steps you can try, based on common fixes:

  • Check System Compatibility: Ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the CapCut PC application. Outdated operating systems or insufficient hardware can cause display issues.
  • Update or Reinstall CapCut: You mentioned trying to update, but a clean reinstallation can resolve persistent issues. Fully uninstall the CapCut application from your PC, restart your computer, and then download and install the latest version from the official CapCut website or the Microsoft Store.
  • Clear CapCut Cache: Corrupted cache data can lead to display problems. Look for an option within the CapCut application settings to clear the cache. If you can't access settings due to the black window, you might need to find the cache folder manually in your PC's file system and delete its contents (be cautious when doing this). Follow below process:
    • Press Win + R, type:
    • %AppData%\CapCut
    • Delete the folder inside to clear cached data.
    • Re-launch CapCut and try logging in again.
  • Check Network Connection and Server Status: A poor or unstable internet connection can interfere with the login process. Ensure you have a stable connection. While less likely to cause a black window specifically, CapCut server issues could potentially contribute.
  • Disable "Render Interface with GPU": Sometimes disabling hardware acceleration or GPU rendering within CapCut's performance settings resolved black screen issues. If you can access any settings before the black window appears, look for a performance or display section and try disabling this option. You will need to restart CapCut after changing this setting.
    • Press Win + R, type: regedit, press Enter.
    • Navigate to:
      • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bytedance\CapCut\User Data
      • Look for a setting like hardware_acceleration_enabled and set it to 0.
  • Run in Compatibility Mode: Right-clicking the CapCut application icon, going to Properties, and trying different compatibility modes (like Windows 8) has occasionally helped users with similar display problems.
  • Close Background Applications: Too many applications running in the background can strain your system resources and potentially cause conflicts with CapCut. Close unnecessary programs before launching CapCut.
  • Try the Web Version
    • If the app still doesn’t work, try logging in at:
    • You should be able to access CapCut Web with Pro features there using the same account.
  • Antivirus or Firewall Interference: Occasionally, overzealous antivirus or firewall settings can block applications from functioning correctly, including the login process. Temporarily disabling your antivirus or firewall (with caution) to see if CapCut can log in might help identify if this is the issue. Remember to re-enable them afterward.
    • Ensure your PC isn’t blocking CapCut’s servers:
      • Disable VPN temporarily.
      • Check your firewall settings and antivirus software—make sure CapCut is allowed internet access.

Accessing CapCut Pro Features on PC:

Your CapCut Pro subscription is tied to your CapCut account, not a specific device. If you purchased a 1-year subscription on your tablet using a specific CapCut account, you should be able to access those Pro features on your PC as long as you are logged into the same CapCut account.

Once you resolve the black window login issue on your PC and successfully log in with the account that has the Pro subscription, the Pro features should become available to you in the PC application.

Syncing Pro Subscription

Once you can log in:

  • Use the same login method you used on the tablet (Apple ID, Google, TikTok, etc.).

  • CapCut Pro is linked to your account, so it will activate automatically on PC if you log into the correct one.

If you continue to experience the black window issue after trying these steps, or if you can log in but still don't have access to Pro features, it would be best to contact CapCut customer support directly for further assistance. Write an email to [email protected] and provide them with details of your tablet subscription and the issues you're facing on your PC.
